2014. You saying variation helped me in finding it. I also want that card now too. Since it's damaged. I think $10 is fair.
That year has a bunch of variations for some reason
Nice variation! :)!
Cap tip Reggie, yes Shadow, $10 is more than fair !
Really only interested in a couple myself. No rookies but I like early year ones which I know you do too, I still think some are still low. I'm a little interested in the green platinum. Simply because I accidentally overbid on the gold that ended tonight and I'm curious to know by how much. I know a PSA 9 sold for $1k recently which is close to what I paid tonight. My max bid was suppose to be $757.27 and I typed in 1757.27 somehow.
Well the green went for what I expected. Mid $700s. The gold jumped so much at the end I didn't even get my bid in. $2100 is healthy. Noticed some non Trout stuff ending tomorrow I'll be watching too and hopefully bidding.

speedyjg13 08-19-2020 09:56 PM

Surprised how high the 2011 sterling gold auto went for compared to the 2011 finest orange auto. Maybe the sticker RC auto is getting noticed or maybe the 9 auto grade on the orange finest hurt the value?

Does a 9 auto on key Trout cards matter much? (09 BC, 2011 finest, 2011 sterling)

I know it's PWCC so take it with a grain of salt, but this gold sale makes me want to punch myself for selling my orange 9.5 a few months ago.

Anyone here win that BGS 3.5 Update. Speedy messaged me about it. I didn't bother bidding on it. Went for more then I could reason myself to spend for that particular card. Had it been the BGS 2.5. I'd likely had bid and won it. That's the lowest current update grade for BGS. I'd love to own the lowest of both PSA and BGS.

Edit: Went for $565 for those interested or curious.

Thanks - I was watching it and thought of you when I first saw it listed. I did not bid though.

I thought the green went higher than expected. Most things seemed to go a little high within the last 10 seconds. But that’s PWCC for you. I bid on a few with no luck. The one I wanted that was lowered prices was the Bubble refractor, but lost out on that one too.

Btw- I haven’t seen too many of those Finest auto redemptions. Was watching that but it went higher too.
I bid on that. My high was $75. It was just one of those if I won it great and if I lost then oh well no lost sleep.
It's not as if I didn't want it. It was more I could have spent $565 better. Like on a PSA 4 Sterling. My missing piece to my lowest grade Trout rookie rainbow. Btw if anyone has that or knows of the person who does. I'll buy it from you for a more then fair price.

I can't complain too much. I made almost 7x my money on it and ended up dumping the proceeds into two stout Pujols RCs for the PC, one of which I never would have bought otherwise.

But, my stupid ass accountants brain can't quit going "son of a bitch" when I realize what Pujols RCs I could buy with it now. Thankfully we're not talking life changing money like some people have brought up in here.

That Bowman Sterling Super posted on eBay is just a beautiful card. Absolutely love the look of it.
I know how it is. Just recently in fact. Kobe Topps PSA 10s selling for 5k+ now. Back in April I sold them for $550 or so. Made a good money on each but the extra 15K was on my mind all day when I found out.

Picked up this early trout quickly when it popped up on eBay recently for what I thought was a steal. It’s of /14 and while non-licensed I remember opening a lot of this product when I first got back into collecting in 2011

$450 is a steal for that. A 9.5 of the Up Close sold for nearly a grand. Unlicensed or not it’s a great looking card and I like the fact that they snuck the Angels logo in there. I own the gold 1/1 version of that card.

Pretty rare 2018 Topps Opening Day Trout Variation SSP on eBay for a reasonable price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324267837389

NOTE: Not my listing

Do multi million dollar auctions really come down to the last second like eBay where someone sneaks in a bid? I kinda imagined the superfractor to be a bit higher by now, or maybe it wont go as high as we thought.

I do like the visual of some super wealthy person sitting on their couch watching the seconds wind down and then putting a bid of like 3 mil in with 4 seconds to go. Millionaires, theyre just like us.

Most don't work like that. They have extended bidding. In order to qualify you just need to make any bid during regular bidding. So, if you want the superfractor, you put in your bid at 1.4 and wait fir extended bidding. I have never bid with Goldin, but everyone else I have purchased from works this way. Then, once in extended bidding they either do a rolling close or close entire auction when no item receives a bid for 15 minutes.

Don't forget to add 20% F You fee to final.

My thought on the partial logo was the same. I wasn't going to brag but yeah I feel like I got a big steal on this one. It looks like a 9 so I will get it off to PSA in my next batch.
