I don't think this is an online exclusive release. Shops were able to place direct orders on the product.
If that's the case, then it would explain how some places got their cases early.

BUT....there are ZERO boxes or cases for sale on EBay, which is highly abnormal if this was solicited through normal channels.

With regular Heritage, you could buy boxes and cases on EBay from numerous sellers prior to release as well as from Blowout/D&A/Steel City.

StlBen 04-29-2024 04:57 PM

It's not an online only release. Read the thread of multiple people here talking about their local shops having it in already.

LittleJimmies 04-29-2024 05:11 PM

Probably Chinese fakes that slipped through while US Customs was focusing on fake Wembys.

mikejones 04-29-2024 06:00 PM

Doesn't look like there's anything numbered over /50 in the mini set. Someone can probably figure out print run on this. Blacks /50, blue /25, purple /15, orange /5, and probably gold /1?
The seller had 16 complete sets and sold 14 already at $1500. That does not seem possible.
It’s not possible. They reused their listing that they sold 14 regular heritage sets with. Just changed the title and price.

If it’s a 500 card CL and every card gets that run of parallels, that’s 48,000 total parallels, then divided by 3 per box = 16000 boxes. If it’s 12 per case that’s 1333 cases.

Someone feel free to check my math, that seems awfully low.

It's 10 per case so 1,600 cases? Sounds super Low for heritage but I have yet to see any other parallels.

You're confusing cause and effect....

The fact that there are ZERO boxes/cases for available for pre-sale on Blowout/D&A/Steel City/EBay, etc. is what indicates that it is an online-only release.

If it was a regular release, everyone would have the product available for pre-sale.

The fact that a few places seems to have gotten some early is a indicator that Topps has a security issue in their manufacturing/distribution process, NOT that it is a regular release.

How did you reach that conclusion?

Topps has yet to officially release any info about the product....

i sense mfw will be unhappy with this release

What? Security issue? How does that even make sense?

It’s not an online only release. I said it earlier, my LCS has a case coming. They don’t sell online. They only sell through their brick and mortar store. What’s online about that?

A quick search on ebay will give you an idea of what numbered cards are in the product. Nothing over /50 is listed. Pretty sure if there were cards over /50, it would be listed already. From what I heard, these are a no Brainer at $50-$60. Blowout and the other big guys are waiting it out. They have the product, they're just waiting on determining the price. Won't be $50 I know for sure. They'll probably charge $80 is my guess so getting these on Wednesday from the topps site at $50 is the way to go unless they change the price. This will be a sleeper product imo.

Hi

I know 2024 Topps Heritage Mini Baseball wont be out until Wednesday but..........

Currently based on what is known, this will be a very limited release. You get 3 numbered cards under /50 per box plus a potential for a big ssp. The cards look nice and this is one of the most sought after Heritage release.

At $50 a box, doesnt it seem too good to be true?

By this time PSA should have a $35-50 grading level so you can grade your serial number cards, variations, and autos.

Any thoughts on the potential of this product as well as the current price?

I think it could be one of the hottest products if not the hottest of these past years.

Is it me or does this just sound like a slightly modified version of the flagship mini that Topps does every year? Those are $30/box and have three numbered cards, most under /99 and tons of low numbers from my experience.

100% had the same thought as well.

tmoore_25 04-29-2024 09:56 PM

I'm confused about these eBay listings. If I search for 2024 Topps Heritage mini and sort by highest price sold items. You can find the Ohtani that sold for $17.99 by benjbusta_48 but when you click on the listing it shows up as Sports-CardsLB being the seller. Which is it? The feedback is the same. Not very good feedback either, in my opinion. I messaged him and asked how he was able to acquire 16 complete sets with SP's and he just made a smart ass answer. When I expanded on the question, he has refused to answer. I would definitely be hesitant to purchase from this guy.

To the best of my recollection, there have not been any releases where your local LCS can get a case (as you claim), but none of major distributors have it listed and available for presale, and no boxes/cases are available or being pre-sold on EBay.

Topps has released many products only via it's website (i.e. online only), such as Finest Flashbacks & Sapphire, and since the release date was assigned, this has also been assumed to be a product that would only be available via Topps website, with everyone madly hitting refresh and fighting off bots to get whatever boxes Topps allows them to.

If Topps did in fact solicit orders from LCS's, then why is nobody listing it for pre-sale???

Do you know where your LCS is getting their case from? Is it direct from Topps? Or from some other source?

This is the strangest part for me. Apparently, multiple boxes have been broken as indicated by the singles listed on ebay yet not one sealed box has been listed. Seems like an opportunity to sell above retail price.

parkerj33 04-29-2024 10:23 PM

I know for a fact that yes, my lcs guy ordered it directly from Topps. Solicited by Topps. He does not have it “back doored”. It is legit availble for hobby shops with direct Topps accounts.

Jim,

Thanks for chiming in. You're the first "trusted source" to confirm that LCS's could order it direct from Topps.

May I ask where you are getting all your cases from? Were you able to order direct from Topps? Or are you getting them from a distributor?

It just seems very unusual that there are no boxes available for sale anywhere on the internet if people were able to pre-order cases from Topps.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? If you google the product you can see a handful (I count four and one breakers storefront) of smaller LCS who had it (sold out now) for preorder. There’s one that still has it in stock.

My LCS is direct with Topps and is getting it from them.

parkerj33 04-29-2024 11:01 PM

Thank you for considering me a trusted source. I have zero direct information from Topps on this product. I am not a hobby shop - I do not have a hobby account. I cannot order it directly from Topps. I just know some people that do. But they don’t have any more info than what is reported by Topps Twitter account. And I don’t know anyone that has it in hand yet.

Sorry....I'm not in the habit of Googling anything having to do with sportscards. When I buy wax, it's either on EBay, or from one of the big distributors.

mfw13 04-29-2024 11:39 PM

I'll note that Beckett doesn't even have a page dedicated to the Minis yet....and historically that's only been the case for online releases.

I can't think of any other product that has been available for pre-order (as Jim has confirmed this is) where Beckett (or Cardboard Connection, before it died) did not have some sort of product page up.

Very, very strange.....

Got it, intentionally obtuse it is.
