Definitely. I've never seen Luka look this lost.
Think it's a combination of defense plus his lack of conditioning showing.

He's been exhibiting traits of what 38 year old Lebron gets constantly ridiculed for on here. Standing around on offense, and not getting back on defense and loose balls.

It's so bad that now you have Dallas' 3-5 trying to initiate all their own offense now. Ugly.
Luka is gassed
Now he knows what it takes to get to the next level. Tatum and Brown learned a couple of years ago. Hopefully Luka does some cardio over the summer.

Dallas missed last 12 shots. Not really a good way to finish...

His skill and BBIQ can get him to the finals in a loaded West - now he needs to do the bonus stuff to get finals wins.

Or the Mavs can add a bunch more talent.

Don’t forget to cover the big guy!

Out of gas. Out of fight. Out of will.

This Celtics team only gonna rank above the Bubble Fakers for lamest Champs of the last 24 years.

rms13 06-17-2024 09:35 PM

Time to get Luka off the court. I'm starting to feel bad for him.

Night night Dallas! Back to the kiddie table! Western Conference is pathetic.

Its not about winning. its about getting 30 to keep stats

I think he can get there. It's his first taste. Not everyone wins on the first try. But he'll need to definitely drop weight in the postseason because I think the extra 10-15 is quickly wearing on him (especially with the leg injuries).

Kyrie crapped the bed. Point blank period. Seems most here were pretty hyped with their midseason pickups, but I'm not entirely convinced. Lively isn't going to suddenly morph into some dynamic scoring threat and Gaff has been what he's been all career. PJ is super mid, but hit some late critical shots in those wc series.

JohnnyHatesJazz 06-17-2024 09:36 PM

Alright my temporary Luka hate is over. My team always comes first. Hope you guys understand.

Not worth him getting injured which is what it looks like is going to happen.

Very disappointing end to what was a great run. Boston is a great team..just too much to overcome. They've felt the disappointment before and didn't want to feel that feeling again. Hope Dallas can have that same attitude going forward

TSonn 06-17-2024 09:37 PM

Congrats to the Boston fans! This team should dominate for a while (maybe until my Orlando Magic can find a stud SG...).

My takeaway from these playoffs is that Dallas played a better playoffs beating 3 teams seeded higher to get the finals and Boston played a much better finals series. Boston was overall a better team. Would've been interesting to see if Boston would've dominated against one of the top seeds from the West.

Game not over...

JohnnyHatesJazz 06-17-2024 09:37 PM

Woo go Luka! Get that 30!

JohnnyHatesJazz 06-17-2024 09:38 PM

There’s the all day homie! MVP!

yiguiri2002 06-17-2024 09:39 PM

So Brown gets the FMVP now, right?

His weight is a benefit for him so I don't want him to drop the weight but maybe turn it into muscle.

I think Lively has more scoring in him - he's actually got a decent 3 point shot. The team should be fine next year but could upgrade a few spots - probably should start with the bench. How bad was THJ and Kleber this series!?

yiguiri2002 06-17-2024 09:40 PM

Mavs had an opening. There was a 8 minute stretch where Boston was playing bad offensively and couldn't even hit layups.

They needed a run there and missed the window. They look too gassed or have given up.

CoMVP
What I'd tell ya, TJ? Luka doesn't airball threes like that.
He just isn't doing it this series. I'm disappointed.

2010GBPackers 06-17-2024 09:41 PM

Either Luka will look back at 2024, be embarrassed by his conditioning and effort on the defensive end of the court, and be a 2-3x champion, or he'll change nothing and have to retire at age 33. His choice.

yiguiri2002 06-17-2024 09:42 PM

I've never heard two players from the same team getting MVP chants at the line within a minute lol
