I think the last PSA 4 on ebay sold in April for $400+

yes but PSA is lot better than SCG

no so fan of that corp of grading

the quality of the plastic case are ugly ...

SGC is highly regarded in the hobby.

Honestly, when it comes to vintage, I agree PSA is king, but SGC is right behind them.

1960 Cassius Clay Hemmets Journal #23 PSA 8 sold for $7,600.

Not sure if this is a record price for a boxing card at auction, but there also 2 out there graded PSA 9. (PSA 8 has a POP of 5)

I finally got my holy grail in my Tyson collection, I know it's not rare to everyone else but to finally see one like this that is in true Mint form with great centering is more than I could ask for. I had to buy it ASAP !

Tyson seemed relaxed, pleasant, and cordial; once you got to him. I also took a photo with him.

Wow , his first national convention he did in Chicago I went to see him several years back, it was more of a party atmosphere with him there .he had a small entourage and no police surrounding him.im sure times have changed even if it was a couple of years back. I had gotten trunks ,glove signed and had to take that 8x10 photo with him with a shirt I had on of him when he said he was around 17 y/o and we laughed about it. Can't wait to see that Spinks' duo auto on cards u gettin , collection looks great u got there .

Attended the Westchester show on Saturday. I was able to get Leon and Michael to sign my cards. Leon is in pretty bad shape, he was using a walker and still had trouble getting around. There was also a Service Dog with them. I'm not sure if which of them needed the dog. Michael, although getting around better than Leon, seemed a little slow with his interaction.

They both were great with me, and their handlers did not hassle me. I had a photo op with both that was encouraged by their people. A few pictures....

I thought I'd share the few boxing items that I have.

The Jake LaMotta check is pretty amazing. Sorry for the scan of it. The display case is about 10 lbs, and very bulky. The check was issued on July 31st, 1957 to the Electro Neon Sign Co., by Jake LaMotta, INC for $185.79. It was signed by Jake LaMotta, from the Bank of Miami Beach, Florida. Being a history buff, this is very interesting. He opened LaMotta's Bar and Nightclub in Miami, in late 1957. I believe this check could be for one of the neon signs for his nightclub. Thanks for the look.

I have been wanting a Muhammad Ali Autograph for years now. I was finally able to snag one. I also plan on picking up a Cut Auto in trade or buying since those signatures are more legible.

I understand many people do not like Ali's signature from his older years, but I really like this card. I also understand people don't like "after market" or redemption "1/1" cards as they are not exactly a true pack-pulled 1/1 card.

However, something had been drawing me to this particular card and when the seller lowered his price I bought it. This card will be in my PC forever and I am happy to finally have a legitimate Muhammad Ali Auto card. After looking through this thread I will be picking up some more boxing cards, especially vintage graded. Thanks for the look and here are some scans,

It's still there. I just looked. Go to online store, our products, go down to Hall of Fame. It's the 7th or 8th one down. Last week about half of them sold within a couple hours.
