I'd consider myself anything but a victim around here. I've been able to utilize this forum to make a few great friends, have some great conversations about sports, listen to and consider conflicting viewpoints that help shape my opinions, and yes, make a whole lot of money as a side hustle doing what I do best.

Believe it or not, I actually like hearing from people who don't like me and don't agree with what I say. If everybody was telling me that I was right all the time, maybe I never move all my Ben Simmons' at peak and go in on Mahomes. It's really only two people that seem to turn an critique of an NFL player and turn it into a personal attack.

But again, I've been dealing with for damn near a decade around here. I haven't gotten discourage and I've been able to use it to help my takes. So I'm grateful.

Stopped by Tristar in Houston today thinking I might pick up a Burrow or two. Very few dealers had any at all. One guy had all his cases filled with Mahomes but other than that, there wasn't a ton of Mahomes out either. Everyone focusing on basketball and baseball now I guess.

That's not necessarily an indictment on them or their selection process, it's more an indictment on the market in general and the imminent risks involved in any speculative investment. I don't think there were too many people that foresaw high end Mahomes cards dropping precipitously over the course of this season despite him and his team's success.


Here's the thing: Burrows isn't priced like Mahomes. Not even close. So it's not a 1:1 comparison. I think there's a lot more potential upside in Burrows than there is Mahomes at current pricing. Sure, there may be more downside on a sliding scale, but the entire market at large is susceptible to more red candles given the uncertainty of the near term economy.

Just let people buy/clect what they like. Seems to be a lost art on here. A 3rd year player loses the AFC championship after back to back appearances and suddenly his career's over or he's peaked according to rival investerbois.

But hey. This is why we Blowout.

Herbert and Allen high end products were overpriced on the speculation in the first place. I highly doubt the mid range $1000-$4000 cards drop dramatically. I don’t see them increasing anytime soon but if you purchased these early your investment is safe.
