Moutakas declined his option with Milwaukee - $15 Million. Maybe San Diego wants to double down, otherwise this seems a bit optimistic. But I don’t know the current value of 1 WAR, either.
Soria also declined his option in Beer Town, for $10 Million. He did have a good 2nd half for the Brewers; I wonder which NL division plays the AL Central next year. Optimism again, methinks. |
Why not add Machado while you're at it and trade for Trout? Sign Kershaw and you're all set!
Kimbrel and Britton have both been linked to the Braves. Miller isn't supposed to get a ransom either due to his age and injuries this past year. The Braves total payroll is somewhere around 60-70 Million currently and was at 121 Million this year. So they have 60 Million or more to spend this offseason with the increased revenue from the Battery. As far as MadBum, the Giants will possibly be in rebuild if they don't get Harper this offseason and the Braves have a plethora of talent in the minors that they currently don't have room for in the majors. All the choices I listed are reasonable, Trout and Kershaw aren't. |
Phillies : Manny Machado
Yankees : Bryce Harper, Patrick Corbin Boston : Clayton Kershaw (wouldn't that be funny). Atlanta : Josh Donaldson , Andrew Miller I'd like for Atlanta to get Kimbrel back as well ,but I don't think they will spend the kind of money he will want. |

I guess a team needing pop from left side can don1 year at north of 15, but I dont like it He kind of fits my cardinals needs and I don’t like it |

Moustakas is going to have back to back offseasons of not nearly as much interest as he thinks
Why would Kershaw to the Red Sox be funny?
So many post from Dodger fans bashing him the last few years in the playoffs. I think it would be great to see him be successful elsewhere. He needs a fresh start and to reinvent himself. If he does opt out. I could see Boston getting him if he becomes available. He will have some interest from a few teams. |

Agreed. I don't think he is in as much demand as he thinks he is. Could he have another year where he goes unsigned.... only to sign a smaller deal towards opening day? |
I honestly think so. I mean, nobody wanted him last year until he signed for like $6 million back with the Royals, and not until early March. And that was after declining their $17 million QO, right? After putting up a worse season this year than in 2017, why would anyone want him any more now?
I'm totally baffled at why he would turn down $15 million with the NL runner up
Agreed. I don't think he is in as much demand as he thinks he is. Could he have another year where he goes unsigned.... only to sign a smaller deal towards opening day?
|

Realmuto gets dealt for a haul
Astros: Alvarez, Tucker + Braves: Pache, Waters + |
It was a mutal option. I’m sure Boras knew the Brewers were going to decline it. I think it looks better if the player declines it, instead of the team.

Oh there you go. I’d agree with that statement. |
Ok, then that makes more sense

Would love to see the Angels go after some pitching this offseason, any good starters/relievers out there?

Ahh, thanks for the key detail.
Indians declined the $3 million option for Brandon Guyer today, meaning Greg Allen is literally the only healthy OF on the 40 man roster (along with Leonys Martin, Tyler Naquin, and Bradley Zimmer).
They're going to have to entirely rebuild both a bullpen and outfield in the offseason, something I have no faith in the organization doing. I hope I'm wrong, but I think after two pathetic postseason performances, the Indians window might've slammed shut.
I agree with you on that. They've gone back to the cheap route of contending. That's only going to hurt them in the end. They would need a few miracle trades to revamp the pen and the OF. Good luck with that. |

I’m thinking White Sox for a 2 year deal (plus option year). It would give Nick Madrigal time to develop (Madrigal to 3rd or him at 2B and Moncada to 3B). |
Why on earth would the Red Sox go after Kershaw? Guy looked cooked.
|
Machado will probably go wherever he gets the most money and is allowed to play SS.
As for Harper, I think if he were forced to sign today, he’d actually end up back in DC. But sentimentality begins to wane as the offseason progresses. Ultimately I’d see him going to whichever team gives him the most money. Maybe the Dodgers. |

100% this. Moose will likely get a multiyear contract this offseason, just in a range similar to what he was paid this year. Something like 3 years, $24 milion. |

Have fun with that
