Last summer in Tampa my son came out of a pile of people with these. He hit his 30th homer off the catwalk that night. We went to the hotel to see if he would sign them and when trout came off the bus my son said "Remember me you gave these to me tonight"
Trout said yes I remember and signed them. What a great memory for the both of us.

Not in those, but that shows that Trout is about the kids. The bummer is that when he got that picture signed in KC the next morning there was autos on eBay from that night. The kids will always keep them and have great memories, but some of the older people just see $$$. Anything we ever get signed always stays in the house, in his room or in the basement with all the Royals collectibles from the World Series.

Thank you all, for me it would not be quite as fun if I did not get to see the look on his face when we get a new card or have an experience like we did.

I wasn’t much of a collector back in 2011 but were people hoarding Trout cards the same way they hoard Ron and Juan cards? It seems like everyone is sitting on a stack of both players and I’m curious if that was the case with Trout? Figured this would be the place to ask.

I started collecting Mike Trout RC’s & his 2009 Prospect Autos before he won his second MVP award. Let’s just say if I were to buy it all over again today, I wouldn’t be able to afford it. I remember buying his 2011 Topps Update (true gem BGS 9.5) for around $85 at that time.
