WHAT A SERIES!

GS was better tonight. They deserved it.

I would say though that the biggest call of the game - the TO they awarded to GS when Russ has his hand on the ball was the biggest call of the game. KD was Rollin. GS was shrinking in the moment and after the TO was awarded, ibaka fouled curry and the game was basically over. I'd like to see them call the jump ball instead of the time out and see how it played out from there.

But that's really the only fair complaint I can make tonight. Other than maybe a flagrant should have been called on draymond when he took down Adams. But that was much earlier in the game - and likely didn't have a lot of impact.
Great job Golden State. Hell of a comeback, hell of a season, hell of a series. Incredible to watch, and TONS of credit to the entire team. Awesome to watch.

I enjoyed Curry early in his career, and still am amazed by him as a player and person. Great guy, great player. Thankful I can watch him.

With that said, he's become unbearable sometimes. I don't discount his skills or heart; he's the best in the game. I watched him at Davidson and early in his career; he's not being 'real', I guess you could say. It's ok; he'll be fine. PROPS to him.

Klay...I love the guy. I wish he got MORE credit; he deserves it. Steph is the man on this team, but so is Klay. Love watching him go to work and put in work. Great, great player.

Iguodala, man...love seeing him succeed. Great man and player. So awesome seeing Livingston bounce back and be where he's at.

Draymond Green. Very talented, and a very, very good player. BUT, a total piece of s.h.i.t. The armbar where he got DDT'd in this game; shows you what kind of player and MAN he is. He's an ASS, period. Grow up. Tough, physical, etc. is fine. He's just dirty. It's a shame; he's too good for that.

OKC...sucks to go out like this. I always felt that Russ and KD didn't have enough help, and their depth wasn't enough, but that squad played like champs.

Kudos to ROBERSON; wow, he's getting PAID. He did his job and more. Chicago Bulls! Take notice!

Adams...he's a MAN. With all of Green's BS; he was a man through it all, and looked like an adult next to a child. Great play, great heart.

Ibaka. Good...bad...in between. He's a good player now. He's not the old Serge...sucks to see it.

KD is probably gone, imo. He is such a great person and player; I hope he wins one soon. He is 10x better as an NBA player than I thought he would be. Great, great player. Top 3.

RUSS is my favorite non-Bulls player. Love his heart. I will take his heart over any stats. Knock him all you want; his heart/passion/drive is second to none. I want him to WIN, period. Great dude.

So, no conspiracy theory, no fixes; the better TEAM won. Great series, and OKC didn't ''CHOKE'', imo. They were outplayed, and more importantly, OUT LASTED, by the better TEAM.

Fun watching, hope everyone had a great night, and thank GOD for basketball.
Curry is the best thing this league has seen since MJ.
He has a shot, emphasis on shot, to surpass MJ one day in popularity if only because the game is even more international now and Curry is absolutely loved by kids all around the globe. They see themselves in him. People admire and adore MJ, Lebron, Kobe, KD, but when they see someone at a below average NBA height and his looks the outer Milky Way is his ceiling as far as global superstar status is concerned. His signature shoe is already outselling Lebron's.

Damn, tried to win that award.

You know, just as an afterthought...

I am really, really happy for the coaches in this series. Donovan, in his first year, I think he had ups and downs, but when s.h.i.t hit the fan, like the WCF, he was a GREAT coach. He was in control, made great adjustments, and did a fine job. Looks like OKC made a great hire of a college coach. (F.U. GarPax, in Chicago...)

Steve Kerr. I've always loved and respected this guy. Great shooter, of course. Everyone knows that. Ultimate team guy. Everyone knows that. But, at the end of the day, he just comes across as someone you'd like to be around.

As a coach, that's HUGE. I think that when a player can relate to you, and understand that you're the BOSS, but also 'one of the guys', that can mean a lot. He's a professional, and he's a leader, and I respect him very much.

Man...what a fun series. Wish OKC had won, for KD and ESPECIALLY for Russ, but again, the better TEAM won. Good for them. I hope GS wins it all, and that's MAINLY because I ALWAYS root against CLEVELAND.

Go BULLS! lol

Great series. OKC couldn't pull it out, but I give them credit for making much further than most would have imagined.

GS's supporting cast better pick it up in the finals, because Cleveland won't miss the shots that guys like Roberson and Waiters did

Agree 100%. The better team won, and it was a hell of a series.

Disappointing to see the Thunder capsize the way they did. It proves just how hard it is to close out a team in the playoffs, let alone the defending champs.

Huge credit to GS for pushing through the finish line and overcoming what looked like a foregone conclusion after game 4. They knew they could win and they proved the doubters wrong. Incredible perseverance.

Huge credit to OKC for putting up a serious fight and making the Warriors look downright pedestrian for a large portion of this series. I mean, as bad as OKC played at times tonight and the last couple of games, let's not forget that they made GS look like a dumpster fire for extended periods of time.

This isn't shocking at all. Newsflash for anyone shocked after tonight's game: the Warriors are really good.

Moving forward... I don't root for GS or Cleveland, but I'd like to see LeBron win one for Cleveland. It's a better story. Do I think Cleveland will beat GS? No. But I'm crossing my fingers for a game 7.

- KD needs to take more then 19 shots

- Westbrook needs to make more then 7 shots

- Congrats Warriors! Cant wait for the finals!

- Go Knicks!

- OH, and I dont wanna hear about where KD is going for the next few months

- If Donovan can get another piece to his puzzle they can contend next year as well

- Curry needs to hook Klay up with some of his wife's friends

- Props to both teams, what a f.u.cking series! They left it all out on the floor

CubKings 05-31-2016 12:49 AM

I'm surprised and mad Donovan left Morrow on the bench pretty much the whole series and especially this game. He is a legit knock down shooter and lethal from 3. Almost the perfect guy you'd want waiting in the corners against a team who jacks 3s all night.

But oh well. Over now. It is what it is.

hairyangryfella 05-31-2016 01:10 AM

Just got home, and while all I saw was the box score...
What the hell happened in the third?? Lead at half, then they start off by hitting 5 threes in a row and you score only 12 points??
OKC desperately need a scorer off the bench. Omg Waiters sucks.
Why did Westbrook shoot more than KD (and of course missed two thirds of them)??

God damn I'm frustrated, especially since it was a close game and they could have won it. Series even. Ugh!!

Nyfancam01 05-31-2016 01:14 AM

LETS GO CAVS!!!!!

Win the finals in SIX games!

drob50 05-31-2016 01:16 AM

People saying "KD needs to shoot more shots" must not have seen Game 6. He tried in that game but only got off bad shots.

If he was to take more shots in this game it would have been the same. It is all because of defense from the Warriors and Kerr, not just Choosing to take less shots.

Warriors adjusted, played more of their normal game and got back to what we expected from the get go.

OKC did incredible to take down the Spurs and then go up 3-1 on the reigning champs, but let's face it, they were always on borrowed time.

I am just glad that GSW did us he favour of not making it a boring formality on their way to the finals and gave us another legit entertaining series!

KD had 19 shots for the game.

First half, he took 5 shots, they were up by by 5 at the half.

Second half he took 14 shots, they were outscored by 13. Make what you want to this.

The 3rd qtr was just a wreck. Klay got red hot again and it messed with their heads.

Waiters is awful, but not as bad at shooting as Roberson. Roberson missed some WIIIIDDE open shots. I mean, not even guarded. Considering that he was getting scorched by Klay the last two games, I'm not sure why they didn't at least give Marrow a shot to try to get some offense.

Out of interest, how many shots did Westbrook take in each half?

Roberson is not an attacking player. Waiters is meant to be. Waiters has done nothing all series. And yes, Morrow should have been given a run.

moose84 05-31-2016 02:21 AM

I give credit to GSW's defense, but great ball players will find ways to make their shot fall or take better shots, i think thats KD's problem. Some plays I will see him slashing his way through the paint for 2 points, and then other times I see him just chucking up shots out of his range hoping they go in. He needs to make better decisions, especially down the stretch in crucial games.

Seeing Roberson's 2 for 11 stat made me cringe. He even had a wide open 3 late in the 4th I believe that could have closed the gap to 4 pts or so, and he effing airballed it!!! Next minute, he had another wide open 3 and decided to pass it hahaha

Not 100% sure on this, but first half he took 15 shots, second half 6.

Again, not sure its wise to draw a direct line between who shoots and who wins, but the problem in this game wasn't RWB playing hero ball down the stretch.

I get that Roberson isn't a main offensive weapon, but when the defense forgets about you and you get wide open looks, you need to drain him. Not go 2-11 missing wide open 3's and uncontested putbacks.

I think the only thing you and I agree on is that Waiters is garbage.

Roberson was hitting them in earlier games, I don't blame him for missing now.
Defence seemed to be lacking a bit - how OKC won their 3 games seemed to be by restricting the threes but all they were doing was taking them and making them today. Curry on Adams is kind of a no contest.
Waiters and Singler do not belong on a contending roster.

Yeah he had an awful series, but he sparked that second half comeback last night with 5 quick points and that dunk. Hopefully that will wake him up as he needs to be productive while out there. Not just backing down his defender for his mid range turn around. I'm not sure if he made one of those against the Thunder.
