Congrats. I need him to take a breather or for Goff to throw to the Packers again.
Thanks Sibs.. love to start out the Fantasy season 2-0 ... I need to pickup another decent running back to go w. Monty and Swift. I picked Kelce and Diggs w. my first 2 picks at 11 and 14 |
Eric Stokes earned his playing time next week.

That'll work... nice start |
I’m just messing with you. I said the same thing that he’d be fine going forward. Lions would be a nice launching pad. It’s Rodgers after all
Moreso than any other QB in that top tier, Rodgers has shown the propensity to put up an absolutely terrible performance, then follow it up by looking flawless against some scrub team. Last year it was the Bucs, then Houston. |
I’d kick the field goal there.
I also wouldn't have passed it if i had gone for it.
Dumb call.. The ball was on the 25 yard line. Kick the damn FG.
Goff blows... He doesn't take care of the football worth a damn
Having a small hand hurt Goff tonight b/c of the rain. :coffee: |
Was anyone questioning who was better between Stafford and Goff? It's not close
It worked out for everyone though. Happy for Stafford, and the Lions got picks to build for the future
Sorry but Goff is not the future in Detroit. That said, the Lions should maybe consider using one of those picks to draft a quarterback. |
A-rod was funny in the post game: "It was nice to shut the trolls up for at least another week"

He was for sure talking about BO. |
Well, it was an 18-point win, but there are still a lot of questions. IMO, Joe Barry needs to trust the back-end of his defense (sans King) to win one-on-one battles and bring pressure more often. It's every QB's Kryptonite no matter how great they are - Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers - all of them will struggle against a well-timed pass rush/blitz. Additionally, the Packers need to find more (or better) depth on the D-line and/or LB. I know the Lions O-line is good, but they can't let every team they play get to 2nd and 4 so often.
Rodgers: He looked good but missed 2 throws that should have been TD's - both to MVS. He'll need this game to carry over to next week vs. the 49ers. I would also like to see him get more WR's involved as well. It was refreshing to see Cobb catch a few crucial balls. I know Rodgers got a ton of flak for "making" GB pick up Cobb, but it's clear Amari Rodgers is not ready or he would be out there. Offensively, I think we relied too heavily on A. Jones. I would like to see AJ Dillion get more touches than he did. (He had a great catch out of the backfield last night, which was great to see!) I noticed last night there was still a lack of energy surrounding the team even though it was a home game on MNF. That can't continue. I'm not sure if it was just nerves - knowing this was pretty much a must-win game - or whatever, but this team needs to get some type of edge to them. Even the home fans were apprehensive in the first half. Looking at our schedule, whoa, is it brutal! I won't even be mad at getting in to the playoffs at 10-7 at this point. |

A-rod had an 81% completion % which is fantastic, I don't care if he's throwing 5 yard outs to Adams all night, still awesome. Yes, other RB's weren't involved much last night, but for one, I loved how they kept feeding Jones the rock. And he responded. Dude was a beast. You forget, it's not like A-rod had a pre-season. He was rusty week one and it showed. I love how the trolls said he intentionally threw away week one------------ridiculous. The Lions don't suck: They have some half decent skill players and a good line. Yes, they are going to lose a lot of games this year, but they will be in a lot of games late too. |

Savage and brutal assessment of the J-E-T-S by a 12 year old.
Sticks the landing with "Oh and Corey Davis has no hops" https://twitter.com/i/status/1440649661048451086 |
Just saw an updated news story that the guy that had the $25 parlay to win over $700,000 ended up cashing out before the game for $133,000. Very good move on his part. Also probably a good decision by MGM as if the Lions had pulled that out they would have really gotten hammered.

Just my personal hot take after the first two weeks. This years QB class is overhyped and last years should be getting more love. Herbert, Burrow Hurts, Love and Tua will far outperform this years top 5 QB's for their careers.

What's impressed you about the start to Tua's season this year? Same question with Burrow. He's got a QBR of 32.9 and 3 interceptions over his first 2 games. |

It’s been two games for this years rookies. Lance and Fields have barely played. Jones looks ok as a game manager so far. Trevor has the talent but not much help in JAX. Wilson has looked bad |
