I would get the US300 in a PSA 10. I recommend a PSA 10 because they’re more condition sensitive compared to his Topps Chrome. At this moment, buying a PSA 10 won’t break the bank and pretty affordable.

Chrome Update which is 1/3 the print run. 3 raw Chrome Updates that are very likely to gem > 1 PSA 10 US300

In my opinion, that logic doesn’t always work. With Derek Jeter’s 1993 rookie cards, there are roughly 4,100+ Stadium Club cards graded by PSA.. while there are more than 15,700 SP’s graded by PSA.

There are also way more 2011 Topps Update Mike Trout RC’s compared to his Sterling RC and both PSA 10’s sell roughly for the same price.

They are both selling for roughly the same price (PSA 10). For me, HMT55 Chrome is the choice. The Print run is smaller. It seems the chrome has caught up to the price of the us300. Maybe we are seeing a shift in the market? Time will tell. However, if you follow the market, one will rise above the other and you’ll have your answer.

For PSA 10 only, the Update can definitely outrun Chrome Update, it already does. For raw it will never happen. However, Update stock is much easier to trim than Chrome so we might eventually see a non-linear relative increase in PSA 10 Pops of Updates vs Chromes. If winds up being strong enough to cause a change in market price, who knows

PSA 10 is all I’ve been talking about when I compared the two cards.. and I clearly wrote it was because it was more condition sensitive. I even said “PSA 10” three times in one post.. lol.

If I had to pick between both raw copies, I would rather have the Chrome Soto RC.
