Tigers sign Ross....Braves interested in Castellanos...Braves interest in trade to acquire inexpensive decent SP:
Tigers trade Casty and Boyd to Atlanta for some Braves Prospects (Jenista, Bryce Wilson and Isranel Wilson )
The only reason I question this rumor is because Atlanta has had a major focus on defense since AA took over and Casty’s defense is less than stellar. Might be best combo of what he can bring and what the Braves would give up though. I don’t think the Braves are really interested in trading for an inexpensive decent SP. They have that already and don’t want to take a spot away from a young arm by adding another decent pitcher. I don’t think they make a move for another SP unless he’s a solid #2 or no doubt #3. |
Rumors that Atlanta might trade Folty. The dirt sheets are flying and a lot of it isn't making any sense.
Alex is probably sitting back and laughing while plotting his real plan of attack. lol. |
I'm in the boat that the Indians don't need to make a trade involving a starter, so the haul had better be massive (as it should be for a cost-controlled ace). Verdugo + Puig or Pederson ++ or you sit on it.
I wanted them to trade a starter last offseason so I’m all about this. It’ll be sad to see Kluber go as I’m sure he wants to stay but that’s the business unfortunately. |

Heyman keeps linking the Braves to JT as well. Said they are one of seven teams left in on him. Saw another tweet from someone I don’t know who said the Braves could still be a surprise team on him and stated Newcomb was a player linked as the center piece. I’d personally rather them add a TOR guy at this point instead. Might not be possible though. |

I don't see us moving Newcomb either personally. Dirt sheets trying to make things more active than it likely is. |
3 team trade being discussed that involves Marlins, Mets and Yankees. JT and Thor said to be part of it.

I’d go nuts |
2 days in and we've got nothin'.
Comon people, trade your teams away already. |

Mets Yankees Marlins rumors heating up.
Not sure if it would actually happen or media just riding g for the news cycle. Syndergaard or another pitcher involved, Mets get back Realmuto at very least in a deal. |

Not buying it yet. Seems like “oh this was something someone suggested”. For now, at least, doesn’t seem like there’s much to it
|
Please don’t trade Thor.
Please don’t trade Thor.
If there’s a three way, it’ll be with NYM, MIA & CWS. Watch. |
Does not seem to have much traction
|
Olney- The sense among some other teams is that the Marlins have begun to push to make a Realmuto trade, which is a major change in their past approach. For a year, they set a very high price and challenged anyone to meet it, and waited. Now they seem to be looking to finish a deal.
Can't wait to see how they screw up this time |
This three team deal rumored with the Yankees and Marlins is very interesting because there are multiple pieces I would love to get in that deal for the Yankees.
Thor from the Mets obviously is the big piece potentially in the blockbuster. But I would also like to see the Yankees try to acquire someone like Miguel Rojas from Miami as well, can play all four IF positions and very serviceable at the plate too. Would give much needed depth at SS while Didi is hurt and at 1B with Voit/Bird. I would expect that deal would see the Mets sending someone like Nimmo as the biggest piece, and the Yankees including a higher end prospect as well (even someone like Clint Frazier) but not Florial. Probably some of the pitchers like Adams, Abreu maybe. The Yankees would be the team to allow Miami to make this deal and allow the Mets to not have to part with Conforto/Rosario and still land Realmuto. |

You can't be serious in terms of the names in here. Mets give up Thor and Conforto Miami gives up Realmuto and Rojas Yankees give up Adams and Abreu????????????????? |

I love fans speculating on what the trade returns would be. 9 out of 10 times it’s a drastic inflation of their own prospects values while devaluing the player they’re getting.
Like the guy last year who said the Red Sox should trade for trout and it would take Jackie Bradley JR and a couple other decent/good prospects. I’ll have to dig that up for fun EDIT: found it. He said to trade for Trout, the Red Sox would offer Jackie Bradley JR, Jason Groome, Christian Vasquez, Blake Swihart, and Rafael Devers. And after my discussed how ludicrous that was, he graciously included Bobby Dalbec |

I mean EVER. LOL
I really don't know what the Mets will do; but it seems implausible to trade Noah at this point or Conforto at this point. These are your #2 and #3 guys on the team ... and unloading either simply to secure a guy like Realmuto would be crazy. |

If they unloaded one of them to get Realmuto, seems like it’s tires churning in the mud. Either unload Noah and get prospects or trade prospects for Realmuto |
