Wiggins is the same guy he's always been.
Not a bad player. He'll help make your team better... he's just not worth anywhere near his contract. Wiggins at $14MM a year would look like a very good complementary piece. At $30+MM, not so much.
Yeah he is what he is. But his numbers are alongside Steph aho has so much attention. Add in Klay and maybe Wiggins is a really nice 4th option. That's a lot of $$$ for him.
I know basketball is different then football. But sometimes things like that come Back to bite you. The colts back 2010 I think it was. Pulled there starters at the half against the Jets. They Jets went on to win the game and make the playoffs where they played the colts and beat them.
I totally agree. I think for Denver it makes sense to sit Jokic and guys. Could you imagine if he gets injured in a game they might low anyway? I think the rest of the day will be a fizzer.
It's not just Klay & Wiseman....it's also Oubre, Paschall, Lee, & Chriss. Basically six rotation players... Kevon Looney is the only guy currently healthy who is over 6'7".....
Most of those guys really aren't worth mentioning. Lee, Chriss and Paschall are replaceable. Oubre has been meh.
Offense is bad but at least Poole has been hot and Wiggins is serviceable. And guys like JTA, Bazemore, & even Wiggins have added some value on defense. And I saw a tweet the other day that shows they've had the best net rating in the league since Oubre and Wiseman went down :coffee:
Poole has been nice for sure. But again they probably don't get as many open looks without Steph there.
What? Not even close. Draymond and Wiggins are both good players, Looney and Bazemore are ~average NBA veterans. Have you seen the Orlando or Houston rosters? They don't have a single player as good as any of GSW' top 3. Maybe worst in WC playoffs though, sure.
Yeah calm down n Mate. It's ok. Plus I think I'd take Mo Bamba and RJ Hampton over some of these dubs guys. And have you not been watching the Houston young guns light it up? I actually think Olynyk would be a terrific low cost option for the Dubs. They need a passing big man that is happy to set screens. Being able to knock down the 3 also. |
I've said that all year. It's crazy that he has them in the position they are in.
And I love that he hasn't complained at all about it or act like he wants out. Hope he is a Warrior for life.
Why would he? Unless he's incredibly short sighted, he should know that he'll have a healthy Klay next season along with the rest of the starters and a good 2nd year player with potential. Unless Klay injures again, there are maybe only a few teams he can go to that's an upgrade. |

Because we've seen other stars pout when things aren't going well for them, cough, cough, LeBron James. |
Because we've seen other stars pout when things aren't going well for them, cough, cough, LeBron James.
Exactly. It's just refreshing to see a few players look like they're going to ride it out with 1 team for their careers. Respect to Dame for sticking in Portland so far. Hope the same for Luka as well. |

Correction, it's when the team aren't doing well and they don't seem to have a way of drastically improving. Unless Klay or Steph injures next season, they are pretty much a contending team next year. |

Correction. This is the 2nd year Klay has been out. There is no sure fire way of predicting Klay can be back to himself. That's a lot of time out of the game. I would love to see them contend again. |
If Atl loses abd Miami wins do they switch?
If Atl loses abd Miami wins do they switch?
No. East seeds are locked other than Brooklyn/Milwaukee. |
No. East seeds are locked other than Brooklyn/Milwaukee.
So why would ATL play Trae and Collins. Seems dumb to me. You just don't risk those guys. |
So why would ATL play Trae and Collins.
Seems dumb to me. You just don't risk those guys.
Pretty sure it's about integrating Hunter. Hunter's been gone so long, he needs a few games w/ the A squad to be an important piece against NYK. Hunter / Trae / Collins all went the first 7-8 minutes then came off. I suspect you'll see the same to close the quarter, and perhaps maybe even to start the 3rd. 20 minutes each / tops. |
Any Jazz / Suns fans want to tell us how excited they are to get to either face LeBron / AD or Steph in round 1?
I honestly don't think they care....because the whole West is tough and they're going to have to beat them at some point. It's not like Portland is much easier. There are eight pretty good teams in the West, and Memphis is getting better as well.... |
Most of those guys really aren't worth mentioning. Lee, Chriss and Paschall are replaceable. Oubre has been meh.
Yes and no. Yes they're replaceable...but the guys replacing them in the rotation aren't as good as they are. It's a testament to the Warriors depth that they've done as well as they have. You've got Bazemore starting (who is normally the 8th/9th man in your rotation), and Mulder (who is normally not even in the rotation) playing 20-25 minutes a game. |
Middleton is listed as the only Bucks OUT for tonight's game against the Bulls. The Cavs/Nets game will probably end about 15 minutes or so after tip. If the Nets win I bet they pull Giannis and other key players a couple minutes into the game. If Nets somehow lose then Giannis and company play tonight and go for the win and the #2.

I'm so annoyed with the Spurs.
This should have been a tanking season. Should have gone for a very gettable top 5 pick. What's 10th in the Play in do for ya? Just drop 5 spots. |

Geezus! Was Curry a ball hogging, stat padding freak today or what? 36 shots, 22 of them 3's, 7 boards and 9 assists. But they got the win so that's all that matters, right?
Anyone else does that and they get sh*t on for ball dominating and shooting that much (especially that poorly). But not Curry, he gets a free pass. I guess we know who owns Curry cards. Go Russ and the Wiz!!! :D:)!:D |
Wrong spot

Denver has their regular starting lineup in the game tonight.
Lets see what kind of minutes they play these guys and how hard they go after it! |

This is the problem with a select few Russ fanatics. You can't let it go and clearly don't know much about the game of basketball. |
Did you actually watch the game???? Curry struggled most of the game and the Warriors blew a 17-point lead. He only kept on shooting because his team needed him to in order to retake the lead, because the rest of the Warriors other than Jordan Poole weren't doing much on offense. |

I don’t mind the Lakers going to the play in, but I’d much rather see Dame and Steph shoot it out.

I think Denver are gonna have to play incredibly well to gey past the first round unless they get most of their guys back.
Same thing I've been wondering about the Bucks decision to win and play the Heat in the first round... My best guess: It's a mindset thing. Denver and Milwaukee are still unproven to be able to win at the highest level, and instead of looking for the easiest path, they want to go with the though that they'll beat whoever gets lined up against them. Maybe it works, maybe not. |
what game yall watching tonight? im on dame/jokic matchup.
|
Zubac doesn't jump for the opening tip, immediately fouls after so he can keep a streak of 150+ games played in tact.
Six seconds will be his complete effort tonight. Embarrassing. |
