I think they did a fantastic job with the photo selection/layout on this one.

I'm not knocking any one for buying one, but my opinion on all these early release cards is that they are fire for a short time, then when the real stuff comes out they implode... now they are early release with a 5 month wait time... poof....

I get it but for me it's not about buying to flip.. Also honestly how things are with sports card releases who even knows if Hoops will be out by then lol

Exactly. While the value may "implode" or however else someone might describe it, that doesn't change the fact that it's his first (and likely only) baseball jersey card.

I didn't buy the Michael Jordan "12 jersey" card because I thought it was a good investment, I bought it because it's something different. Similar vibe here ;)

I figure I'll try to flip if it's lower numbered, otherwise I'll just have a really interesting, oddball piece for my collection.

Will this base card break any records?

How much do you think Topps paid him for that Jersey? Seems odd he would want to give it up especially if he is due to make tens of millions but If Topps give him 100k I guess

Well they're due to make 227,400 in revenue from it, so 100k would probably still leave them well in the black even after the other costs of production/packaging/shipping (I assume we all just take the free shipping).

Those are cool. I'm having a hard time not buying the Grady Dick auto just because it looks so goofy. I was impressed that Topps priced Scoot Henderson(third pick) higher than Brandon Miller (second pick).
