kd arguing for an and-1 on an obvious foul/block... lmao it's not even close. If he's frustrated due to getting torched by MPJ then maybe he should play some defense?

drobfan8 05-08-2021 10:06 PM
I bring this up fairly consistently but most people seem to think they're just already in the Finals.

Their defensive rating is 25th in the league.

Houston, Cleveland, Minny, Portland, and Sacramento are worse.
Wow. That's a brutal stat..

They aren't really taking this season that serious. Surely their goal this season was to roll the balls out and have a go with their eyes on next season.

Because their attitude has been unprofessional at best.

bulljh 05-08-2021 10:13 PM

Unless the game becomes a little more competitive, Curry’s not gonna be playing the fourth
Does Brooklyn always look this horrid on defense?
Their biggest trump was always going to be offense. They have 3 of the best ISO scorers in the league. It’s a MDA ran offense so the Nets were built to out score any matchup thrown their away, they have supreme confidence that they can trade blows with anyone and win. Defensively, the Lakers in 01 ranked 21st and won the title. It was unprecedented but so is this Nets team, that’s if they’re healthy.

Their season really hinges on how quick Harden rounds up to playoff form. He missed a month + and I’d imagine it would take several games to get him acclimated in the team.

I think the Bucks has the advantage in the East because of their cohesiveness. This is such a wide open season with key injuries from some contending teams.

Nets showing a little fight to start the 2nd half.. Denver couldn't miss in the first

daeve 05-08-2021 10:30 PM

Nets woke up and are playing with effort now, guess we'll get a game tonight after all.

Oh yeah no Milsap or Gordon either for Denver tonight. So it's Jokic, MPJ and the 2nd-4th string at this point.

This should be a win for the Nets

Nets can't grab a rebound.. Sad

Yeah I know they have an altitude advantage but look at their guys out for this game - look at their available personnel.

Bol, Cancar, Howard are all 3rd string [after injuries], all played in the 1st half.

bulljh 05-08-2021 10:47 PM

49 for Steph in 3 quarters. He’s done for the night

daeve 05-08-2021 10:48 PM

Howard back in and scorching Kyrie again, wow

The team on right now for Denver is putrid

kd the sniper 05-08-2021 11:25 PM

Good defense on jokic then knocks down 2 big free throws by kd

kd the sniper 05-08-2021 11:30 PM

Huge win for the nets

tjforce 05-08-2021 11:31 PM

Man... Jokic with 3 bricks in the last minute of the game.

Denver now with recent losses to Lakers (down LeBron), Jazz (down Mitchell), and Nets (down Harden). I guess they are missing Murray a bit.

bulljh 05-08-2021 11:31 PM

Crazy stat:

Most games with 10+ made 3pt FG in NBA history

Curry 22
Klay 5
Harden 3
Lillard 3
JR Smith 3
Lavine 2

Yep. Denver would be DANGEROUS with Murray, but I think this postseason will end up being a big “if only” for them. Not rooting against them, but just being realistic.

Didn't get to watch the game but checking the box every now and then seems like MPJ didn't get many shots at the end. Maybe they should try giving it to him to close games

I'm shocked!

I know you've hated on the Nugs all year but they're missing way more than just Murray.

Did you even see the group they had on when they were trying to hold on before the starters came back in?

Yikes. God awful.

Missing Gordon tonight didn't help.. Milsap... he's 36 and averaging 9 points a game. Meh.

If you look at the 4th quarters of the 3 games they've lost recently:

15 points
21 points
24 points

Jokic took all 3 of the team's shots in the last minute tonight. With Murray in the line-up, that doesn't happen. Think of last year's bubble.

TBH.. I don't know that bringing Gordon back is going to make a huge difference in the last minute of the game either, but it would have been nice for them to have him the rest of the game.

A lot of garbage to post when you could just say you wanted to have a dig at the MVP. No idea what last years bubble has to do with this team right now. Joker prefers to pass but he's closed so many games this season it's laughable to act like he's not capable.

You've been wrong all year about him.
I mean, wow, he misses 3 shots in a minute of a close game where they were missing 6, yes 6, rotation guys.

Gloss over it all you want, but that bench is horrid and they've had to trot it out far too often.

Gordon, Sap, Barton, Morris, Dozier and Murray all out.

But sure. Meh.
