Under the direction of the worst player in the league. Their locker room coping mechanisms must be Ghandi-like. |
Bleh...just when the Bucks suck you right back in making you think they have a shot at the #1 seed, they let you down again. You can't be letting Lou Williams beat you.

Did.... The Trae Young-less Hawks just beat a full strength Bucks team..?
And if so, is that saying anything? :coffee: |

I was more meaning are the Hawks better without Trae? |
I was more meaning are the Hawks better without Trae?
I know :-) Probably better ball movement and higher percentage shooters taking more shots with Trae out |

The worst? That would be the collective IQ of this basketball forum :)! Wasn't aware that starting two Westbrook threads during the span of 25 days was a heinous crime. I know now that being on the cusp of breaking a nearly half-century old triple double record held by a Legend isn't worthy of a basketball thread, in fact it should be ridiculed just the same as new members who post multiple threads in a couple of hours about investing. |

Yes, the Hawks are clearly better without their best player because they won one regular season game without him |
The Hawks are just a good team now, they aren't a great team but the Hawks are pretty legit now. Bogi is really good, Capela and JC have been excellent together, and Huerter has been a pretty solid player this year.
|
and they finally have an nba coach instead of an aau coach
|
Best thing about the Hawks is that they pretty much don't have a bad player in the rotation.
I won't be shocked if they win 50+ games next season, deep matters in the regular season. |
Also, their MOV is +5.4 since McMillan took over. And that's with multiple rotation players missing time.
|
Next year they can give JC the max and still have a full mid-level to add another high-level veteran to a team with an improving Okongwu, Hunter, Bogi, Trae, Huerter and Reddish.

Not saying they're better without him, but it's not just 1 game, they're 5-0 without Trae... probably the bigger thing is coaching though. They're 20-7 under Nate. |
5-2 w/o Trae
6-2 w/o Capela 7-2 w/o Collins 25-16 w/o Deandre Hunter It’s just not about Trae, the front office has done a tremendous job building that roster which is why I never understood why people refused to give them a shot at a playoff spot this year; can’t stop thinking of the numerous possibilities had they kept Luka. Anyway, one constant thing is they were able to be competitive even with locker room dissension and multiple key players missing games. Hawks are a dangerous matchup for any 3rd seed team. |
^5-2, yes my b
here's Okeke sending Drummond to the netherworld https://streamable.com/4ztcpl |
Welll... Maybe the Hawnks aren't as good without Trae.
That being said... Trae's shot attempts, scoring, usage... all down this year. The amount that they team relied on him to get it done last year was probably too much. |
Are the Wolves going to beat Utah again?

After being down 18 in the first quarter, again? Looks likely. |
Well at least the Hawks lost also.

These back-to-back road/home or home/road are tough no matter which team you are. Bucks were coming off of one when they lost to the Hawks and now the Hawks just lost to the Pistons coming off of one. |
56 three's taken by Utah. Wow.
