I am pretty sure this guy trains all off season and he also plays a lot of baseball in the off season. I don't think this is the problem at all.

Just seems like his approach from last year is off. More strike outs and swinging at bad pitches.

I am just as concerned/confused as everyone else as he does not appear to be injured. It is hard to have back to back MVP seasons, and there should be some regression to the mean...but he seems to just be off.

At least when he wins World Series MVP we can all just sit back and laugh about this ;)

A lot of players are very far off their career (and last season) numbers this year. Yordan, Julio, Tatis, Bogaerts, Ramirez, Arraez, Lindor, Arenado, Vladdy, Seager, Arozarena, Alonso, Bregman, Bichette, Riley...

These are not run of the mill players either, lot of premier hitters and vets

Baseball is a really tough sport and obviously adjustments need to be made by a LOT of players, not just those listed. Fwiw, none of those guys have an MVP already on their mantle.

The Braves are leading the Wild Card despite his early non-MVP level play and the SLG is up a little this month, hopefully a good sign of things to come and hopefully he peaks a little later this year :)!

I'm not making excuses for Ronny or anyone else listed, but I believe MLB made changes to the ball again. The home run and power numbers seem to be down across MLB.

Highly doubt that is the reason, there are a quite a few players who are close to 10 homeruns or more in relatively little amount of games, don’t have last season stats after 40 or some games but i think the amount of homeruns could have even been less, might be wrong though.
