I agree, there should be a hard cap and some rules. It’s nonsense that the dodgers can and are allowed to drop a billion dollars because that can’t beat the diamondbacks. What’s the point of having teams in smaller markets if they can’t even break even.

Make a rule that teams cannot be inherited or handed over. When an owner dies or decides they want out, the team is put up for sale and if the owner is still alive, they get the money. If they're dead, their heirs get it. But keep them dang nepo kids away.

A's make the playoffs a lot. They're far from inept. The owner is the problem. Remove him and put them in the hands of someone who cares.

Similar with Sox. Terrible owner is the problem.

You don't remove entire franchises because the owners suck. You remove the owners.
