There's pre-sale floating around the internet. The box contents seem to be correct. So no relics or autos per box like regular hobby.
no need for relics or autos for this release |
Maybe the set will be easier to complete than Heritage proper.

It’s over a week away and I am already pulling my pants down. |
Are they actually going to be mini or merely very poorly cut?

That’s what she said! I’m going to see myself out now. |
didn't Topps already do this with the mini 1975's from 2011 Lineage?
didn't Topps already do this with the mini 1975's from 2011 Lineage?
They did. I'm very curious as to whether or not this release will be like the 2011 Lineage inserts (i.e. a combination of active players and HOFers), or whether it will simply be a straight mini version of 2024 Heritage (i.e. active players only). |
it better be a straight mini version of the 2024 release
|
I’m in for just one box to assemble a couple 9 card pages & see the parallels, in hand. Maybe they will make a unique one for the minis.

That would actually be the least interesting format for me....too many no-name rookies and scrubs in the regular Heritage checklist. My preferred set size would be something around 250 cards: top 125 active players top 25 RC's 50 All-Time Greats 50 best players active in 1975 |
Here’s hoping they print a legible card back at least. That would maybe make me switch to clecting this one.

That would be unfortunate, if true. But then we all know how lazy Topps/Fanatics is..... Part of the appeal of Heritage in general is pulling cards of the stars of that period....autos, Box Toppers, Then & Now, etc. At the very least they need to have the big-name rookies and stars of 1975 in the product, i.e. Brett, Yount, Rice, Lynn, Carter, K.Hernandez, Ryan, Bench, Reggie, Seaver, Schmidt, Carlton, Carew, Palmer, Fisk, Munson, Winfield, etc. |
Hopefully nobody will buy any because it is going to suck. Then I can buy it all.

Full checklist makes you work harder to make a complete set (which topps would want) and mirrors the base set which stays true to the original release. |

People are buying complete cases of regular Heritage and not coming close to getting all 100 SP's. And given that the Mini's are apparently going to be only 12 packs per box (instead of 24), with only 2 SP's per box, if the SP checklist is 100 cards again, it's going to be impossible to build the set. |
Just saw post above. NVM.
Topps: "We listened to our customers. That's why we're making them pay extra for the thing that should have been part of the main release."
So you think leaving the Minis an insert set limited to 100 serial numbered sets is doing the 1975 set justice? Yeah, no.... The bigger question is what parallels they end up doing. Do they do something similar to 2012+ Mini sets with all those colors or do they mix it up and add chrome also?

Mini chrome would be interesting. I'm really surprised if there's no autos, I think a mini auto would be pretty cool. |
Think these will be glossy like the 2022 online minis?
