got permission from OP to give my vote on cards. I don't think this quite cuts it. Looking at eBay, there's no good sold listings, and Walford doesn't seem like enough of a name to carry this type of value without more data.

Agreed this card should work. Prices went up since the move to Pats, and could still have more upside this season.

Forgive me if I'm being too hard on this, but the leagues I won last year burned me. The card I won in this league last year wasn't accepted for submission this year, and a I submitted a card I won in a $50 SV league in a $30 SV league (it was a Rod Woodson, so not really a case of declining value due to a bad season). The majority of the cards I've won have fallen under the limit by season. I know some of that is due to swings in values, but trying to avoid that as much as possible.

Let's just get this league filled and it will come together card wise. No worries, I like the card and it is a 3 break versus 2. Maybe socal can throw a ten dollar card to go with it like last year.

Sounds fair. I don't want to start the year off on a sour note, so I'm good with that plan. With that in mind, what if I submit my Bradford 1/5 auto + a $10 card? I'd like to use the Robinson in another league.

I'm fine with that. I would basically say as a rule then if you only have a $20 card then add another $10 card. 2 card max with a $20 minimum in value for one card. That way people are paying a small premium for not being able to make the 1 card deal.
