Mel Kipper said Detroit should win the division.

So that assures a third place finish :coffee:

Watching Toronto Maple Leaf fans today reminded me of Detroit Lions fans.

Complete and utter unrealistic losers.

It's not even a good analogy, since the Lions haven't made the playoffs! Sheesh!

What happened to the front yard?

I had a change of heart. While it is true that DTMB has a front yard full of other people's dogs' crap, it occurred to me that might explain his irrational, ill-,timed, and occasionally hateful outbursts, so I decided to take the high road in replying to his negative comment.

You laugh at a guy rehabbing an injury? What is it with Vikes fans? Is Vikes Fandom just a cover for a massive puppy-kicking cabal? Y'all be some miserable mafks!

Just par for the course. Will never forget those sad purple pansies laughing and jeering when Rodgers walked off the field with a broken collarbone a few years back. Then created countless “Rodgers walks into a Barr” memes. Funny I don’t recall a single Packer fan I know laugh or joke when AP tore his ACL. They’re just a pathetic group that loves to kick others when they’re down!

Just par for the course indeed. I will never forget those sad cheesehead jesters laughing and jeering when Cutler injured his knee and missed most of the NFCCG against the Packers. They created countless "Cutler injured his fingernail (or worse which I won't repeat here)" memes. Funny I don't recall a single Bears fan I know laugh or joke when Sterling Sharpe severely injured his neck. They're just a pathetic group that loves to kick others when they're down!

No one is pure in this thread. But feel free to @me if you can promise you've never used or laughed at the term "FIB".

oldgoldy97 05-14-2023 09:53 AM

I can see some people didn’t care to actually read the article

For those lazy members, here’s the funny part:

“I'm continuing to work my tail off, day-to-day, mental reps, taking reps behind the quarterbacks that are in and just playing the game in my mind until I can actually get out there, ...”

I think all Detroit is playing the entire season in their mind.

Probably still end around 7-10 :coffee:

Laughed at the term FIB? Absolutely, 100% guilty as charged! :D Comparing state border rivalries is different than cheering on injuries tho. The business I own does roughly 50% revenue in both WI and ILL. I can say, truthfully, most of the peeps I’ve interacted with in ILL are pretty awesome. Some A-Holes to be sure, but plenty of those in WI as well.

But cheering and laughing about injuries? Not for me. The only cutler memes I remember are the smoking/DGAF ilk. When he got hurt in the NFCCG, I recall most of us wondering why the hell he was on the sidelines, as the injury was a bit of a mystery. Maybe questioned his toughness a bit…but that’s about it.

Also and for the record, I’m certainly not trying to sound “holier than thou”, and acknowledge all teams have good and bad fans. But the cut away of the crowd when Rodgers got hurt against the Queens…I’ve never seen anything like it. Was pretty sick.

oldgoldy97 05-14-2023 10:10 AM

I didn’t cheer for Arod getting hurt. I’d rather attempt to win by being the best than squeaking by being least worst.

That said, most people I know were more surprised by how the packer fans continually cried over how it was a dirty hit when it obviously wasn’t.

I wouldn’t call the hit super clean. It was questionably late, Barr could’ve diverted, and he didn’t have to drive the shoulder down. That said, it was questionable. I got how it wasn’t called…but wouldn’t have been a shock if it was.

The game has changed so much even in the last few years…I’d bet big bucks that it WOULD have been called in 2022.

This might be a new low for the category of "completely unconvincing walkback attempt."

Man, when did the football forum turn into the basketball forum?

No longer any intelligent conversation. Just a bunch of people trolling each other

When have fans of divisional rivals ever had intelligent conversation about each other on the internet? Please cite sources so we can put and end to it ;).
