I wonder if every other team that makes the second round thinks they almost went to the finals. And this guy likes to talk about other people’s iq
Lol can we say Glen Rice almost led the Hornets to the Finals? And Larry Nance almost led the Cavs to the Finals? |
And you are proving my point that when Lebron gets his dynasty, like in Miami with a great organization in Riley, and now the voted on best coach in the league in Spo, he still can’t drag over .500.
Nobody thinks players don’t need help. But what do they do with help?
Exactly. Miami was supposed to be "that" team. |
I agree. But ignoring the teams he had at his disposal after that first Cleveland stint is beneath you as well. He has t played with Boobie and Golden and Z his entire career.
Yes and then went up against the stacked Warriors. We both know the history. We can go into who was favored etc. But I don’t agree with talking championships vs just all around players in their prime. Top season vs top season |

Well they made it that far without Jordan. You put prime LeBron on any team going that far without him. What happens? Especially a team and system he knows. |
Guys I don't think the MJ and LeBron fan boys/haters are gonna change their minds here.
In another 20 years, MJ and LBJ fanbois/haters will most be likely be dead or suffering from dementia. Hopefully, BO would be a much better place at that time, if it still exists:p |

Yeah the people that actually like them might be dead. But there will never be a shortage of vultures around to try to make $ off them like you. This place would be a lot better off card wise without that too. |

Miami did not play golden state |

Unfortunately for Lebron, team results factor into what a top season is |

Hey, I like to make money in stocks or collectibles. Don't you? Don't we all. You also buy and sell cards based on your itrader rating. Don't be a hypocrite:p |
The spurs were a good organization because they had Duncan to build around. That’s what greatness does. But I wouldn’t call them a dynasty. And the reason is they never went back to back, meaning the teams in the west had no problem beating them. It can’t just be theyre a dynasty because they beat Lebron’s brains out. If that’s the case there’d be a lot of dynasties at one time. Kind of dilutes it.
You make a great point regarding the Spurs dynasty. Which it was. Back to back doesn't make a dynasty unless it's an individuals opinion. They won 4 in 8 years and lost to the team that made the finals or won it in 3 of the other 4. Just in that span. But my point is you're right in being beatable. LeBron fanatics love to act like the Spurs were an unbeatable monster in 2013 when the Heat beat them. Yet they were just as good the year before when OKC came back in the West Finals from 2-0 down against them (after OKC had also beaten the Lakers and Mavs mind you). And the year after the Spurs dismantled the Heat, the Clippers beat them in the 1st round. Yet Bron fans act like that Spurs title was an impossible task. It wasn't even the best Spurs team. 2003 and 2005 were better teams IMO. |

But yes they were beatable as evidenced by the fact the west beat them a lot. Not to mention that Duncan as great as he was won titles with very different rosters built for different things and different scenarios. He was the rock it was all built on. |

When I said we all will be dead or demented in 20-30 years, that included me as well. This is assuming most MJ and Bronbois are in the 40-60 age group. I guess there is no room for sarcasm in this thread. Let the hot debate continue... :)! |

History will remember Jordan as the GOAT, like Babe Ruth. Bron will be like a Barry Bonds. |
History will remember Jordan as the GOAT, like Babe Ruth.
Bron will be like a Barry Bonds.
Skill level, Athleticism, Pace, Defense, shot selection and spacing have all changed over time. I look at it as the best player of that era instead of the GOAT. |
GOAT, you mind dropping that Shaqtin again?
Maybe I should until the Bron-for-GOAT crew ever get around to addressing it. Isn't it embarrassing for both him and them? |
Exactly. Miami was supposed to be "that" team.
Wade's career trajectory didn't exactly track Bron's, did it |
I just watched a clip of the Knicks/Pistons back in 1950 and shocked how the league has changed. I think we could easily put together a team of just board members that would stomp them they looked that bad.
One guy shot his free throw with only his right hand, while balancing on only his left leg. basketball in the 50's was absolutely terrible compared to what it became in the 70's. Most layups were under arm. I found out my grandfather was on a college team in PA in the 30's and always wondered why the boxscores were so low, now I know. |

You didn’t include yourself in the comment. There was no we. But if that’s what you meant then fair enough. I can’t read minds though. |

I said MJ and LBJ fanbois/haters. I am a fan of both MJ and Lebron, not a fanatic. I am also a fan of Kareem, Bird, Magic, Russel, Wilt, Kobe, Curry, etc;. They are all great and I like to appreciate greatness. And I do fall in the 40-60 age group! |
Bill James, the famous baseball historian and stat guy, ranked players in 2 categories - Peak and Career. I think Peak value was something like their best 5 year stretch.
With all the years played, I could see LeBron ranking higher on Career value. And a guy like Larry Bird may rank higher on Peak value. |

you're supposed to be tribal and be against certain players/teams (and you're supposed to troll within that mindset and then I can put you on Ignore too :D) (no, I'm not against any players, but yes I am against tribal trolls :)!) (ok, I admit I'm against Bron's flopping and shaqtin', maybe a co-GOAT otherwise) |
