The Crawford hate is funny
2 years ago he was a top 5 prospect 2 years ago Aaron Judge was trash who would always strike out too much Crawford has upside and Segura is not a hall of famer. He is a good hitter with issues. Honestly this could turn out to be a steal for the Mariners. Mariners will want to lose games, and this helps them do that. What do people trashing this honestly think someone would give up for Segura? A 4 WAR player nearing his 30’s with a mediocre glove Wish the Royals could trade for Crawford |
Yeah, so what's the point? Get rid of Segura, a really solid player on a reasonable contract, for $20 million in salary relief and what looks like a total bust of a prospect? I don't get it
They just seem to be in an extreme rush to get rid of everyone. |
Now let's have the Mariners eat some of Santana's contract and send him back to Cleveland.

@JeffPassan "The Chicago White Sox's interest in Bryce Harper is either very real or they're putting a lot of effort into something that isn't, because they enlisted Hall of Famer Jim Thome to go to Las Vegas and meet with Harper, sources tell Yahoo Sports."

Is Jim Thome really the difference maker they expect that will convince Bryce to be apart of a rebuild? |

I don't know, but several people on this forum said the White Sox interest in Harper was fabricated and that there was absolutely no chance of it happening. Obviously that's not the case. |

This forum has members with more knowledge than any “baseball reporter” bro. Also they only sleep with perfect 10s and are wealthy beyond belief Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Please show where, I know I said of course the WS are interested (since 90% of teams are "interested", meaning they would love to have him for the right price):doh::doh: |
Who ever said the Sox wouldn't be interested? Of course they would be, as would every team in the league. Now, realistic? That's another discussion

I believe they’d have to blown every other offer out of the water, to really make something happen. 14 yr $500 million kinda deal

I’d love for the Indians to move Yonder and maybe a couple low level prospects for Santana and cash. |

I can’t see Chicago going 14 years on a player. I’m thinking 10 or maybe 11 years max but they would have to offer $36 -38 million per year. And having Thome on our side is a good thing. He is/was very well respected around the league. |
Cards and Dbacks reportedly talking Goldy. They'd still finish 3rd at best in the division.

MLBN talking about Seattle possibly moving Mitch Haniger?
I don’t understand what Seattle is trying to accomplish but seems like everyone is expendable. Jeff |

Christian Walker could be the Dbacks first baseman next year!

If the Cubs decide they really want Harper……
they’ll get him . |
I'm sure this has been discussed in here, forgive me if this is redundant. Is anyone else laughing out loud at 14 years/$500MM for Harper? A guy who hit .249 last year with a 1.3 bWAR and is a HORRIBLE defender? A guy who has been on perpetually loaded teams but can't seem to help bring the team to the promised land? A guy who isn't even hitting his weight in his postseason career? Oh wait - he's got crazy power. Except he hasn't sniffed the AB/HR leaderboard since his admittedly insane 2015 season. Beaten by luminaries Eugenio Suarez in '18, Logan Morrison in '17 and Chris Carter in '16. Oh wait - he's a good clubhouse guy. Except for having a reputation as being self-serving, fighting his own teammates, and oh, never delivering even an NLCS appearance despite being on loaded teams. He does walk a lot, so he's got that going for him.
Not trying to sound like a hater, I don't dislike Harper just can't fathom someone valuing him that much. He had one magical season in 2015, but the rest of his body of work looks very similar. One of these things is not like the other... If he was capable of putting butts in the seats, I could understand the economics better. But look at 2018 - Nats home attendance was 11th, and they are actually bottom half in road draw. Makes me glad to be a small market team fan...no chance the Brewers overpay for him... |
Brewers are showing interest in Sonny Gray....... send us some beers and it's a deal
