I had an Ohtani Chrome card that had a HUGE thumbprint on the card a couple submissions back...I emailed, asked if they could clean and reslab (the card was a 9.5 so it was clear the print wasn't on card when I subbed it), and they did so w/ no hassle at all...I assume your outcome will be the same, just be polite when you contact them.
Customer service was great. Issued a FedEx return label for me and the turnaround time was less than a week. Took longer for me to actually get the box to a FedEx dropoff point... Might be my favorite from my submission. Back when jersey cards were actually a tough pull and worth something. |
Still waiting on my Submission Vintage Soccer Cards
I sent my Vintage Soccer cards submission in Mid-January and I reached out to Brent couple of times and he said they are doing research, which I'm not sure what that means. My prior submissions were between 10 and 15 days, which is great but this one is going for 2 months for 18 cards. Not sure what's happening there.

Sent an email today as it’s BD11, hopefully I get a response in a few days. If I’d have known they wouldn’t meet the 5-10 Id have just sent to PSA…bummer
Mine were picked up from the post office yesterday. How long does it take for them to mark the order as received? First time submitting through SGC, so curious how the process works.
Mine was marked as delivered early afternoon March 1 (this past Friday) and still not marked as received. It is fine I am sure, but just makes me a little nervous each day that goes by without that "received" email to confirm it made it and to start the SGC clock lol |

My order was received on 2/16 and has not budged since. It’s my first time using SGC and I wanted to try them out specifically to get my card back faster. |
Fwiw: Just got an email from them noting that there is a delay because of their Bowman Special and they are getting through backlog.

I appreciate the info. I guess that all that I needed to do is complain about it here, because it just moved to Post Grading today. Any idea when in the process that I’ll be able to see the grade? |

For my order last month it took about a day to move beyond that and have the grades viewable. Seller ready images took another day or so after that. |
I'm a little worried right now, I have a 3 card order that was sent back to me supposed to be delivered to me today but it's showing that it's sitting at the Miami FL International sorting center ...... I am in the US

Went to post grading today!

What’s after that with the progress tracker? Do the grades pop after Post Grading? |

It's been well over a month since the special ended. At some point the excuse is BS. I would guess they've run into staffing issues. |

Yeah. You usually get scans and grades either that day or the next business day. |
Submitted my first ever SGC order (own a few SGC slabs through purchases). It was 4 PC Cards that I think look best in a black SGC holder given the color schemes. Looking forward to the results.

Question about how SGC would treat a 1953 Bowman Color Mickey Mantle.
I’ve been working on restoring it, as it was in pretty horrendous shape. Tons of old glue on the back that I’ve slowly been working at. My question is - will remaining glue automatically land it as an SGC 1? |

Before and after the glue removal, that card is in bad shape and wasn't going to get higher than a 1 due to all the creasing. In the 'after' photo, is it paper loss on the back, or is it paper that's stuck to glue that's still on the card? If it's paper loss, the max grade I've seen is 2, if the card is otherwise not damaged very much. Tiny paper loss on the back can get a 2 or 1.5. |

The centering on the card is perfect, which is why I bought it, just curious if there’s a point to get the grade or simply grade as authentic at this point. |
I think the '1' is better than 'AUTHENTIC'. If you send to PSA, put a sticky note on the card saver with a note saying something to the effect "IF A NUMBER GRADE CANNOT BE ASSIGNED, SLAB 'AUTHENTIC' OR 'AUTHENTIC ALTERED'. And put a note in the comments section of the submission form to slab/holder the card even if a number grade cannot be assigned.
Otherwise they may return the card in a card saver if it doesn't get a number grade. I recently did exactly this, submitted a card I thought might not get a number grade, and I put a note on the card saver. This '53 Paige had once been clamped into a screw-down that was sized for later, now standard size cards, and it pinched the corners causing paper loss on the back. I expected either '1' or 'AUTHENTIC', but never thought it would get higher than 1. It's a solid PSA-2 without the paper loss on the corners, so a half grade deduction for that seemed generous. I don't do much vintage, but think I'd prefer the grade over authentic as well.

Order type--Immediate 1-2 day
1 card Shipped- March 8th Delivered/Picked up-March 11th Since i never used the 1-2 day immediate before until this order, my question is when does the 1-2 day actually kick in? once the item shows delivered & received? the site still has the card as "submitted" I only ask because i don't know. I mean if it sits 2-3 days before even being put into the system is the 1-2 turn around time misleading? I'm not complaining, the card was just delivered yesterday. just wondering. |

First time subbing to SGC, and my order that was received on February 28 still hasn't moved from "received." Is this pretty standard?
