Dear Topps Now Platinum Members,

Another Saturday in the books with more thrilling moments!

In Mexico City, Manny Machado powered the Padres to a 16-11 victory with two home runs- including a go-ahead blast in the 7th inning. At 7,349 feet above sea level, this two-game series is the highest elevation for big league games.

We are offering a base-relic card for Manny Machado’s monstrous day at the plate. Instead of offering these for sale in specific parallel levels, we are going to combine all the parallels together to create a one-card pack. The cards will be encased as they always are but will be wrapped in an opaque foil.

In other words, the packs being offered will be guaranteed to contain the autograph purchased, but with a chance to pull a parallel below the /99 level. For transparency’s sake, the parallel levels will be /99, /49, /25, /10, /5, and 1/1 in this pack. There is NO unnumbered parallel that will be inserted into the pack.

Like the other cards this year, members will be allowed to reserve one of these one-card packs of each player. The price for each pack will be $99.99.

Yeah, I'd generally assume that when they're copy-pasting a message and forget to change one of the references, it's the second one :)!

Did they alert Plats that there would be a Grayson Rodriguez relic today? Was pleasantly surprised to snag one this morning.

Nope. Just got a "hey there aren't enough to guarantee everyone would get one, so no reservations on this one - by the way, the link is already live" message.

About two hours left on the football hours and they show sold out ... kinda surprising but maybe not if this is the future of football cards.

Question about the bonus cards that come with the ST team sets... Nate Eovaldi gets one. Is it a different card than his card today?

Topps is probably thinking that this will happen multiple times this year. They are just waiting for the 4 slams in the same game :)!

Hoped for low-numbered Carroll but very happy with the Suzuki for my PC.

Got 6 of my RTOD sets in. All of the parallels had minor corner or edge wear which was irritating, but nowhere near bad enough to complain. Still waiting on Braves and Orioles and a couple of others.

Overall, I'm happy and the sets themselves are lovely. It was only the parallels that were slightly dinged.

Out of the cards with print runs posted to Beckett, after Opening Day only 10 non-rookies have had cards where they are the only listed player to sell over 1000 cards. It's a fun list. Some obvious guys, but some surprises too. Mountcastle was the biggest shocker, but Strider was also a little higher than I'd expect and I'm a Braves fan that collects him.

I wish Beckett would add these to their organize quicker. I have no reason why it takes them so long when they know the exact card and their parallels daily thanks to Topps website and print runs come quickly after sales end. It also takes them forever to add the Road To Opening Day sets.

But they have the first 3 Yankees Topps Throwback Thursday cards up. :rolleyes:

Three more RTOD sets in (three more to go). The parallels in this batch were in better shape than the first. I got the three guys I wanted so am thrilled with these. I was going to get another Orioles set, but they sold out quickly. Waiting on another Braves plus the Mets and Yankees.

Pretty strong with only the one dreaded /99. I really wish they'd made them pink or green or something. The black looks too close to the base. The Yoshida is spiffy!

I honestly would have been happy with any of the parallels but a nice low-numbered Julio is especially sweet

I was hoping to get a Jake Bauers 1st hit/homerun card today for the Yankees until I read the recap. I didn't realize he was in the majors with Seatle back in 2021. :(
