Embiid is the clear MVP.
DM still an overrated chucker, 12-34, -11, gets thrown out like a whiny baby.
Add another to the list to get locked up by Simmons. And yes... Embiid is the Mid-season MVP. |
A terrific seasons so far, top 2 of the MVP ballot IMHO. But in the 29 games you noted above, Embiid would have the easiest SOS of any player in the NBA missing games against PHO
Posting without comment:
Embiid 29 games played, 335 FT attempts. Jokic 35 games played, 183 FT attempts. |
I understand that DJ is really good friends with the Brooklyn big 3 but it’s a shame and could be their downfall that DJ gets more minutes than Claxton.
|
I mean they've been prioritizing DJ all year. Jarrett Allen was much better than DJ in every single way and he sat on the bench. I don't think it's going to change. I really hope they go small in the playoffs because DJ is going to get eaten alive.

100% I still think they could have found a why to make that trade work without letting Allen go but if he’s just gonna rot behind DJ I guess let him go haha. I definitely agree Allen was better in every single way |

Annnd of course a 76ers homer had to make a snide reply. Jokic gets mauled a lot and doesn't get fouls, and when one guy is getting 6 more points (potentially) per game it's going to inflate the numbers a bit. Embiid is beasting, on a top team in the league. He also has a lot more support (from both the players on his team and the refs). Jokic is playing incredibly well. They are clearly the top two choices at this point. |
The Hawks come back from 19 down in the 3rd quarter to beat the Magic. They were down 16 minutes in the 4th quarter.
Really impressive down the stretch. |

Right now that would tip the scales toward Embiid. But we have a whole half of the season and things could change. Now that Murray seems to be playing like Bubble Murray, Denver seems to be looking better. |
Good game and great win for Sixers - Embiid was terrific!

Betting the over for anything Curry vs. Portland seems like a permalock.

I need to never bet again.
This morning I saw Doncic was doubtful so bet on the Thunder +8.5 before the odds changed (a very conservative points start that really should have been easy to hit). Despite the Mavs best player being out, and his team not scoring in the final 3:24 of the game (!), the Thunder lost by 9. |

I can't be bothered looking in the Luka thread today. But I'm wondering if they're all the horrendous basketball players they make them out to be. |

My real guess is that it's the other way around, and all the super trolls are in there claiming that 1 game is proof they the team is better without them. |
drob has to be the worst poster here. Worse than me. Did you watch the game? Or even look at the box score? It was a TERRIBLE performance. They had no business winning that game. The Thunder just flat out did not show up. Missed lay up after missed lay up. Couldn't hit a three (except my boy Ty Jerome). Bad rebounding.
Mavs shot 8 for 40 from three, including 1 for 19 in the first half. Couldn't even shoot 40% for the game. They won 87-78. So happy they won. Now I just hope they use the back injury as an excuse to pull him from the ASG. |
No love for T.J. McConnell??? Points/Assists/Steals Triple Double last night
Had an NBA record 9 steals in the first half 8/8 from the field to boot |

You and me both. He was fun for a while in Philly. Now he's a menace when we play the Pacers. Sometimes I just want him to stop trying so hard now that he's not on the 76ers. |
Shams reported that two of Boston's top trade targets are Jeremi Grant & Nikola Vucevic. I'd prefer Grant but I don't see any reason why Detroit would even think twice about moving him without a godfather type offer. With Theis/Thompson/RWilliams all healthy and playing well, a Big isn't really this team's biggest need right now and I think Orlando would have to be blown away with an offer as well for Vucevic.
