How much do you think Trout being in a throwback uniform on the 2011 Topps Update impacts its desirability?

I think it helps the card a lot - its his only 2009 or 2011 card in that uniform

Up until I read this 30 seconds ago I had no idea that was even a throwback jersey. In the end he plays for the angels, not the pirates, Astros, white sox, Braves, etc that have highly distinguishable throwbacks. It might make a difference to hardcore Angels collectors, but I would bet it doesn't factor in at all for anyone else.

I don't think it matters at all. Just like the poster above me, I had no idea that it even was a throwback.

Less than zero.

Still looking for some help, I posted a couple of pages ago but it didn't gain any traction. I'll have a 11x14 photo of the image used for his '11 Topps update card. What would be best as far as an inscription goes by him that would make a cool addition to his signature? "my '11 Topps RC photo" or something different?

I would have Mike use a silver pen on the dark part of the photo. To each their own but I don't think the inscription is all that inspiring...

I personally think that's an inscription that gives it no, and maybe negative, value to most people. I'd rather just have a nice signature on something like that. Unless you can get him to put "better than Mickey Mantle" on there I'd leave it. Again, just my thoughts.

I've bid on a PSA 6 2011 Update before figuring I'd get it cheap. Apparently the card has a high floor because it still went for over $200. I own a PSA 5 or 6 2010 Bowman Platinum.

2012 Finest Trout cards have never picked up speed value wise. I have some low numbered ones myself and I've never really found the opportunity to sell them. Atomics and Reds look great but they won't sell for what they should.
