Gonna be hard to carry the team with this bullpen weighing it down 30 blown saves by these asshats...5 away from the all-time record |

The organization is certifiable. It’s cyclical. Sure the offense always has ups and downs but the bullpen has been a nightmare for a decade. A DECADE. Same with the Eagles secondary. A DECADE of schitt. A decade of feeble attempts to address it. And even when they bring in “sure things” like Brandon Workman and Ian Kennedy, as soon as the put on a Phillies uniform they forget how to pitch. |
Go Harper...bring home that MVP!

He's having such an under the radar season while leading the majors in OPS and OPS+. It's just a bit silly.
This thread is so dead compared to the other MVP Candidates in MLB. |
Wow Harper is rolling I am starting to think 40 HR’s may be possible ! !

Wow 32.....
The only Phillie who is aware they’re in a postseason race |
#32 left the ballpark in a hurry!

Fighting for a playoff spot and you lose 3/4 to the 18-50 on-the-road Rockies
Organization doesn’t deserve Bryce |
Besides the obvious bullpen shortcomings, Hoskins would be a difference maker in these 1 run losses IMO. Nice shot #32!!

One of the best underrated seasons in a while

28-29 is old and it seems nobody cares What Acuna Soto Tatis vlad investors won’t believe But it’s true In 5 years not many people will care anymore about these guys like they do right now[/QUOTE] Sounds about right for this forum. Many most popular threads on this forum are frequented by people who's hobby happens to be collecting money. They just happen to use sports cards as a vector for their hobby. By the time stars reach 28 or 29, these guys no longer have many of their cards and have no reason to hype them up. The cards are now in the hands of collectors of their cards. Once cards enter permanent collections there is no need to hype the cards as they effectively have no value, since they are not for sale. There is a ton of hype out there for Harper (The pop he got from the crowd in a half filled Citizens Bank Park was impressive), Machado, Yelich, Arenado, Judge, and Bryant. The problem is that the hype for them is from fans and collectors who want to be entertained by them and not profit from them. |
June 5, when Harper returned from 10 days on the injured list stemming from getting smoked in the face by that fastball in St. Louis, he has a 1.098 on-base-plus-slugging, tops in the majors, and not far off his 1.109 mark from his 2015 MVP season.
Here, though, is something that isn’t getting talked about enough: Harper has started 53 consecutive games — and played all but seven innings — since July 17. For a guy with back problems, he sure has put the Phillies on his. |

I honestly think that Harper has caught up and surpassed Tatis for MVP. |
He’s going to win his second MVP
