My vote as well - Hot Numbers or a Meltdown the 1995/96 line up for both is Flair or Skybox are my favourites. Sold 3 of each and totally regret.

I like Hooperstars and 97 Thrill Seekers as a couple underloved inserts. Also 96 Finest Gold Refractor and 95 Flair Hot Numbers are two cool cards sitting around $2k

It's usually the other way around, but be warned that the Hooperstars looks like ass in person. Pics are deceiving.
Stuff like the 97-98 MJ Thrill Seekers on the other hand... still one of my favorite cards in the pc. |
I agree w/ Zedlaw and buckunteer on HOOPerstars. Such a dope card. I pulled it as a kid and it was the one card from my childhood besides my Kobe Topps Chrome RC I always wanted back. Even when basketball cards were kind of an afterthought for me. Was able to finally buy one back during the pandemic.
I'm surprised you don't like the HOOPerstars in person duron. I have it ranked personally as one of the top 20 inserts from the 90's. Not in the Top 10, but still. |

I guess that’s pretty vague but I’m always disappointed when I assume a design is something it’s not. They kind of cheaped out on the foil, it has a similar if not same foil finish as one of the other insert sets they put out that year (Dish 'n Swish). They could've made the card even cooler by adding some etched foil. The flat type of foil does allow the holofoil to shine through though. |
Anyone have the odds for MJ 92 fleer team leader i checked beckett already no real odds there just that it was only found in rack packs ?

I agree that the galaxy is underwhelming too but hardware is a lot rarer and very expensive. Not sure why they went with a dull finish rather than a refractor finish or something that pops more. |

Dull but expensive indeed, I still want to add the Penny eventually just because I think it’s the best photo used in the set. They probably just blew their proverbial wad already with standard 97-98 Metal Universe. |

I'd imagine a few are still hanging out there — assuming the boxes weren't dumped along the way. Decided to do a quick Google search and managed to locate images of all but 7 with the /23 serial: 1, 2, 3, (4), 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, (10), (11), (12), 13, (14), 15, (16), 17, 18, 19, (20), 21, 22, 23 The () around a number means it wasn't tracked down in my quick search. Guessing a few are still raw and were never photographed. 18 total have been graded by BGS and PSA. |
