What can Lions say about that meme that isn't true? The Browns weren't around from '96-'98...so while they haven't played in one, they're a mere 0-49, not 0-52.

While he was the "leading scorer" I think anyone with a functioning football brain knows that he wouldn't have scored that many TD's on any other team.

How many players lead the league in TD's and sign a $4M/Year contract the following year. That tells you all you need to know.

1. This is quite an unsparing assessment of the second half of the Lions season, when they went from 1-6 to finish 9-8. It was a very solid second half, derailed only by a close loss to the Bills on T'giving and laying an egg at Carolina.

2. Lol - his agent totally screwed the pooch - he could have re-signed. Anyway the backfield is upgraded with Montgomery, Gibbs, and possibly Ibrahim (the UDFA signing).

3. This is an overstatement - the two players who were "forced out" were getting cut anyway; Jamo is a loss for six weeks, which sucks, but it's not forever. There were no coaches "forced out," just a bunch of front office dipsticks who aren't exactly irreplaceable.

4. Not everyone is ridiculing the Lions - there are many reputable observers who rated what they did highly, and, as we all know this is entirely speculation pro or con.
