Ja ends with 44, the cesspool rejoices.
Scary Terry with 42, but no clectors so crickets. Welcome to BO!
Hehe, Sabonis had a monster game too. |
Yeah, turns out they're pretty important lol. Giannis and Ben didn't improve much over the offseason. Though 6-8 is certainly better than 2-6...
Yea... one game... they both did other things right... I can't remember a time when Giannis took over the game in the 4th as much as he did tonight. Until the end. Simmons looked great protecting the rim a few times tonight. At the point where I think he'll go down this year as easily the best defensive guard in the game (although, he was voted that way last season). |
Ja played 35 minutes.... only Grizz player with positive plus/minus. +10
44 pts 9 asts Kid is legit. |
My biggest take away of the night so far is that the Raptors commentators are bad, like really really bad.
That was hard to watch |
Trae with 37 on 12 shots. Too bad he didn’t get to play another 10-12 minutes.
My hot take prediction from the other thread that Tatum will take a Superstar leap and lead the Celtics to the Finals is off to a great start
I will never get the Tatum love. He also missed that shot by SO much that he got dumb lucky and it bounced in. Let the investorbois pay 20% more for his slabs today and hopefully get caught with the bag. Least exciting "superstar" in the NBA |

:p Yeah and 1 and 0 is better than 0 and 1 seeing as you like math so much. Might be time to give your Ben Simmons Voodoo doll a break, you'll end up with less egg on your face.
Liked how Philly closed the game tonight Seth, Danny, and Tobias were a combined 1-13 from deep and they still managed a win. Embiid looked way less akward in the offense... other than a few times he got lost (the time he cut off Simmons' driving lane and they ran into each other looked bad). But other than that, he dominated on O. 16/9/7/2 and 3 for Simmons on a night when 3s weren't going down. Some things to work on, but a solid first W for Doc
Yeah a tricky game first up. Westbrook was rolling. The Bertans mins cap probably helped Philly. Embiid needs to be an MVP favorite for this team to make the Conf Finals. Simmons' defense is great again. Danny Green might be finally cooked. No time for Thybulle is a bit rough |

You need to separate basketball good and card good. He's really good at basketball. Even if he did get some luck that game. |

He took over on both ends until the last free throw. And he wouldn't have even need that one if Tatum doesn't get lucky. |

But he’s a great player who can do everything on an important franchise. And he’s likable. Checks all the boxes for hobby good. |
"Giannis not clutch" is such a simpleton take from that game.
The guy scored 18 in the fourth and brought his team back. "Giannis can't be trusted to make free throws" is such a better take.
It’s not just this games free throws, it has the last 2 post seasons built into it. |

But again, this is a sportscard forum and a lot of people are heavily invested in him at really high prices. I never really understood it because of exactly what you said above |
Shake Milton had a solid season opener (+33 plus/minus). $5 mil over the next 3 years is a steal for the 76ers.

Comes with the territory. It’s amazing how these guys create luck that way. You may not like him, but Tatum is legit. |
Ja ends with 44, the cesspool rejoices.
Scary Terry with 42, but no clectors so crickets. Welcome to BO!
I’ve been collecting Rozier since 2015. Love his game and I’m glad there’s no hype from the cesspool crowd. Keeps the prices down lol |
could it be one's heralded and has a lot of skill and the other doesn't?
No. That’s actually not at all what it is. It’s people overvalue how skilled some of these guys are when they’re almost all relative to each other. It’s just overblown on the forums because people pay big money for certain players. No big deal, just a funny dichotomy is all. For the record, even scary Terry had his moment of cardboard hype. Everybody gets their moment. |
Denver looked awful in the third quarter
|
Denver looked awful in the third quarter
Yup, Jokic has a trip dub through 3, but Harris and Murray have come out very flat tonight... Campazzo stealing some minutes at the end of the 3rd and looking good. |

They can still win this though. |
Eh, Celtics ≠ Wizards. I like that Russ seems willing to play with them, not pouting like other stars. Wizards are gonna be a bottom-3 defense though, while Celtics will be a top seed. Also didn't look like Tatum called bank, that was a pretty lucky shot. |
Murray holding his right hammy but just waived off the coaches asking if he wanted out
|
MPJ two huge blocks on Bagley right under the basket.
Barton still a ballhog, makes me sad. He was blanketed by Hield and just ISO'd anyway and forced up a horrible shot. And in the first half he kept holding the ball and brining it up, forcing Campazzo into sitting in the corner. Good player but he doesn't fit this team at all, hopefully FO will finally see that and find a trade partner. Dozier looks stronger this year and like he's ready to step up [especially on D], hopefully that helps make the decision easier for them. |
