I can't remember a time when Giannis took over the game in the 4th as much as he did tonight. Until the end.

Simmons looked great protecting the rim a few times tonight. At the point where I think he'll go down this year as easily the best defensive guard in the game (although, he was voted that way last season).

rest of the team is meh. brooks is good but he shouldn't be playing as big of a role as he is. He should be coming off the bench. They need more athletic guys.

You need to separate basketball good and card good. He's really good at basketball. Even if he did get some luck that game.

I thought they were dead in the water entering the 4th. He took over on both ends until the last free throw. And he wouldn't have even need that one if Tatum doesn't get lucky.

Tatum will never be the most efficient on the court. But he’s a great player who can do everything on an important franchise. And he’s likable. Checks all the boxes for hobby good.

Totally agree with this. But again, this is a sportscard forum and a lot of people are heavily invested in him at really high prices. I never really understood it because of exactly what you said above

Shake Milton had a solid season opener (+33 plus/minus). $5 mil over the next 3 years is a steal for the 76ers.

Jordan, Kobe, every other superstar had “lucky” shots go in. Comes with the territory. It’s amazing how these guys create luck that way. You may not like him, but Tatum is legit.

Eh, Celtics ≠ Wizards. I like that Russ seems willing to play with them, not pouting like other stars. Wizards are gonna be a bottom-3 defense though, while Celtics will be a top seed. Also didn't look like Tatum called bank, that was a pretty lucky shot.

Good player but he doesn't fit this team at all, hopefully FO will finally see that and find a trade partner. Dozier looks stronger this year and like he's ready to step up [especially on D], hopefully that helps make the decision easier for them.

I get it but if you're an investboi looking for the guy who can be the face of the league/hobby in a few years, Tatum is definitely on that short list.
