My box was similar. Since purple hot boxes are now gone, I think blue hot boxes (8 base 8 sparkle) replaced them. But just a guess at this point.
That’s every hobby box. |
I'm 3 boxes through my hobby case and have done decent so far. I've got a Tony Oliva auto, Justyn-Henry Malloy /76 auto and a clubhouse relic bat from a Acuna Jr. So far I'm happy.
Will be opening the rest of the boxes through the weekend, my one son is REALLY hoping to hit the Jackie Robinson American Heroes. That's about the only card I will be devastated if we don't get. |
Topps screwed the pooch by not making Johnny Bench's iconic 76 card an auto..
That would be the one baseball card where they wouldn’t have to specifically fade the “auto” area of the card during production. It’s already done on the original. |
They do have the variation on the back, except for the cartoon (I think)
I thought it was hard to read on the 24 Heritage, they must be seeing how small they can actually make it. |
The image variations are the only ones you really need to look carefully at the back....the bat flip variations are easy to see, as are the Nickname and Alternate Cartoon variations on the front.

Opened three mega boxes from my case so far....60 "non-base" from 51 packs....20 in each box of 17 packs.

I think these look really good, a big reason being the Silver Sparkles are very nice. |

I'm 8 boxes into my first Mega Case:
Elly Auto Relic 6/25 Gold Chrome - M. Strahm Black Chrome - J. Dominguez Blue Chrome - J. Bloss Every box has had 4 Reds and 4 Silver Sparkles. They are extra cards, so those 8 packs (out of 17) have 9 cards in them. Every box has at least 3 Chromes (1 had 4) Every box has had 1 refractor Flipped Bat - Elly Image - Masyn Winn Alternate Cartoon - Langford Relic - Riley Greene The Silver Sparkles look incredible on the All-Time All-Stars. |
Just finished first case. Love the upgrade of this product
But the QC was pretty bad So many rough cut edges and off center cards |

My 2nd hobby case had a James Wood red ink auto, Rod Carew Bicentennial Auto Relic, Jim Palmer Auto and Skenes image variation.
|
Collation is once again TERRIBLE. Seems to be the norm now, but wanted to at least let people know. I doubt it's an isolated thing, but could be wrong of course. I was able to make ONE base set. ONE. 7 of some base and 1 of others. Ridiculous....:mad::mad:
Hello everyone!
Last night I ordered a 2025 Topps Heritage Value Box from Amazon. It is supposed to be arriving on Saturday. Has anyone had any luck with these boxes? I know you can’t get an auto or relic out of these boxes. Tips or advice would be helpful! Thanks:)
This is brios bait, my dude. |
is it common to have multiple chromes in 1 pack, even sometimes 2 chromes + a paper parallel.
beacuse I opened some loose packs during lunch break, equal to 3.25 boxes, and ended up with 60 chromes cards (2 blue, 1 green, 1 black, and 56 other chromes (speckle, base and ref), wondering if i should go back and open more from the case |

Whole set was chromed and most are unnumbered. |
Once again quality control is an issue with another Topps product...I am glad I only did 2 Blasters because it seems they really only check conditions on the Chromes. So much edge whiting/wear & corner dings front/back on everything from Dark Greens to Nickname Variations.
Target did do a stock on the App tonight for Hangers, Blasters & Megas. I usually buy tons of singles but this year for Topps I’ve bought maybe 5-10. :( |
Really disappointing to see the narrative on this product is about the QC. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come in 2025.

This is keeping me away from a product I opened 2-3 cases of most years. It's just Archives feeling, but even that is numbered more often. Unnumbered chromes means there are an insane amount that are in this. Took one of the last set builder products (with a small chance at high end hits) and made a mess of it. |

Total Inserts have gone from 60 to 175 and the odds of pulling one are now even harder than past years. Building one sans eBay is now impossible. |
100% true on inserts being harder to pull. Have opened 3 Megas and each box had 2 inserts, from 17 packs! And beware the QC on red border parallels, since Topps put them as the first card in the pack. Have thrown a few out with bent corners or scratch lines.

I think it depends on your perspective. People who expect every card to come out of a pack to be Gem Mint (i.e. PSA 10) are always going to complain about quality control. People who expect every card to be Near Mint or better (equivalent to PSA 7 or better) are going to be fine. For all intents and purposes, it's the overemphasis on grading that has raised expectations. The quality control is no better or worse than it's always been. Prior to the creation of third-party grading there was never any expectation that pack-fresh cards would be perfect. |

Folks would be losing their minds and pitchfork sales would have probably increased by 2000%. |
