Beauty is beauty and it can't be denied. Kicking myself for not getting some of this on the secondary right away....when it was 4 times the SRP, but now VERY affordable and worth the money to rip, flip, or invest.

It's tough to say what's low or not. There hasn't been a refractor set like this since 2013. The issue with those is the AS greens were limited to /10 which dissuaded many from trying to build a set. So you really only had player collectors going after those. This set seems to just have enough parallels to make both player, team and set collectors happy.

With Trout and Robert refractors being the big hits, the early sales set the tone. I thought $799 for the gold was solid. I figured the seller of the base refractor set a high BIN to field offers. I was probably willing to go a bit higher but I'd rather break 3 boxes than have a Trout refractor at this point in time. The danger there is I dont find another one for sale this year.

Hard to say how long it will take because lots of boxes still in transit from Topps, but yeah it's clearly headed there. As fast as it is selling (and/or being stashed) at $375-400 available supply at that price is not going to last long. Blowout out again also at the moment.

People are falling all over themselves for these (myself included) -- curious what the reception was in 2013. I wasn't back in the hobby then. Did people go crazy over that release?

Still missing 2 orders from Topps - both Processing. Getting worried.

Those were an insert inside the 2013 Finest Baseball release. Similar to what they did last year with the "Blue Chip" (FROM 1997) in 2019 and in 2020 Finest "The Man" inserts (From 1998)

I feel like these are very different because they are in stand alone boxes and are a complete set unto itself. I love them too!! I was too young to afford the 1993 release so I think this is awesome

The photography, the design, the shininess all makes these cards super appealing. That mixed with the nostalgia for the original set and the very strong RC class... yes this card is beautiful.

Similar hype at release. Obviously it wasn’t it’s own product at the time but people were still all over the refractors. The cards weren’t overly expensive if you found them right away after release but if you want them now it’s damn near impossible to find any of the /25 refractors.

Always a little but I've never had a return. Definitely a bit of a gamble but with the ebay price being so far above BO, I think it's worth it.
