So some people are really trying to pin the Wizards being crap on Russ? He's not even playing tonight and they're getting steamrolled.

gomiamigo 01-27-2021 10:26 PM

Even though the refs tried to steal the game for LA at the end, the 76ers have the best team in the NBA when Embiid plays.

Great dagger by Tobias. 76ers missed too many FTs, should have been up 20 late.

Braswell10 01-27-2021 10:27 PM

That was a good game. I can’t wait until Kuz gets traded this season, and THT takes his spot.

Dame 01-27-2021 10:27 PM

bad switch by bron, smh.

really nice game, grats sixers fans.

drobfan8 01-27-2021 10:28 PM

Just wondering who the front runner for MVP is now that the Jazz are the 1 seed? Lol

Ffs, commentators were calling the refs out for the calls the sixers were getting.
Lol, soft. Lebron didn’t even flex.
That's a scorching hot take to defend an obvious & dirty flagrant foul.

Karma.

Good luck to you all. Make it past the first round this season please.

Warriors showing how good they can potentially be....Curry a non-factor with only 2 points, but Wiseman playing really well and Oubre being dominant.

spurs50fan 01-27-2021 11:51 PM

Spurs survived some horrible turnovers to grab the win. Can’t wait till White returns to see what they can do

Jazz with the best record in the league.. Different feel about their team this season..

They handled the mavs tonight without Mitchell even playing. Porzingis has to be the softest 7 footer in the league. Gobert gave him 29 and 20. Not to say Rudy isn't an awesome center but that's an insane game for a guy who's mostly defense.. Yikes

Jazz are deep and definitely seem to be firing on all cylinders. I remember people were throwing criticism at the Jazz for giving Mitchell and Gobert huge deals. Looks like their money is buying them what they want thus far.

Buh buh buh buh buh buh All muh Prizm Basss of Hawnks playerz I has waiting at PSA!!!!!

JK

Really though, Philly matches up well vs the Lakers. They played them well last year too.

Embiid seems to always dominate AD. Simmons wakes up and gets aggressive when LeBron is on the court.

Anyone remember last year when Ben dropped 28/10/8 and 4 steals during a 17 point schlacking of the Lakers.

They also have the guys to at least make it tough on LeBron.. Simmons, Green, Thybulle, and Embiid and Dwight when he gets to the paint.

Jopeal 01-28-2021 12:27 AM

Is Bradley Beal overrated?

daeve 01-28-2021 12:36 AM

Jazz are 8-2 vs .500 or better teams... I picked them to go far last year, but I guess I was just a year early, they look extremely legit.

Nuggets looked bored vs the Heat's B-Squad - which is a good thing, this is the type of game they'd usually show up flat and end up losing. Dominated from the beginning.

Hawks took Bklyn to OT and if Trae hadn't shot 7-22 they probably would've won. Also hurts having Goodwin get Rondo/Dunn minutes. None of the top of the East should be scared of Brooklyn, they're just so soft. Also KD+Kyrie playing 42 minutes each again to another team 'beneath them'. Nash appears unafraid to ignore load-managing them, that or he's under strict orders not to do so I suppose.

They’re missing half of their roster.

Quite telling that he decides to take a "rest" day when his team is shorthanded and needs him the most....

mfw13 01-28-2021 01:06 AM

Warriors win comfortably despite Curry being the 5th highest scorer on the team, after Wiseman, Oubre, Wiggins, and Damion Lee.

In a sneak preview of the not-to-distant future, the game's high scorers, with 25 points each, were Wiseman & Edwards, the top two picks in the draft.

bberns 01-28-2021 01:08 AM
lol, that has nothing to do with the unbelievable short-sightedness of everyone taking RW's side after the trade to Wiz. That's all I'm talking about - I have no idea if Trae will ever be an MVP, I was and still am in the boat that's still peeved Schlenk traded Luka for him.

But we have all these advanced stats that tell us things - like that the Wizards cannot play defense, and it just tickles me when people choose the side of ignorance and double-down on their 'boys/investments' despite what most of the 'reasonable' voices, or statistics are suggesting.
Westbrook is toast today - we don't disagree.

Not his choice...

Andre Drummond with another video game stat line last night. If he could just have a better shooting percentage he’d be a perennial all star. I’m still unsure how he doesn’t make it this year with making the Cavs relevant. But that’s the NBA! He’s so much better then Rudy Gobert. And yes I understand Gobert is in the west. Just saying that they are viewed so differently.

Anthony Davis is the softest big man in the NBA. Softest All-Star I've ever seen for sure.

JIF creamy peanut butter has more backbone than that guy.

He's too soft to play C vs Embiid, so he gets outscored by Tobias at PF. Amazing.

I think both deserve serious recognition. Pretty crazy the lines those guys are putting up.
Ok, you're correct in that you never mentioned the Hawks or Trae, I just double-checked. You had some other doozies though. But there were other members inferring that RW > Trae, some others saying that the Hawks would "be better" with RW instead of Trae, etc.

And then a whole lot of you dismissing advanced stats as a whole. That was more of your schtick.
Oh true, so then your 'schtick' is just heaping everyone together to fit your own little narrative then right? You gonna get 'crickets' from me now from here on out then ...

I stand by everything I have said about advanced analytics.
