Thanks for posting this...I am starting to feel a little better! Mine look very similar to the topps chrome blue refractor auto you posted.
Hate to continue with the cold shower train, but I don't agree there. In particular look at the lower left corner of every single Topps auto - the 'underline' is connected to the text above. On all three of yours it's a separate line. |
The mail in Vlad cards posted above have different loops and angles than any of the ones you posted here. And the biggest tell is the underline. Vlad never lifts his pen causing a break. Perhaps if one of them had this it could be a unique circumstance but all of them have it lifted. If you compare with your own eye you will quickly see how different they are.
I also noticed the "underline" that is broken from the rest. Here's my one mail in to a USA Marketing signing. I had noticed the IP ones often had '27', not sure if thats always the case, though. And to keep this a little bit on topic, I almost got this signed at a T Mobile promotional event in 2019....turned out he signed the "J.S." sig instead of full name, so just as well, because I'd prefer the full first & last. This is for everyone reading autograph authentication 101. Fake autos will often be in a certain style which we all know a persons signature changes over time. So let’s say your Vlad cards are most similar to the 2019 chrome auto (it’s not btw)…. It’s 2023… so the forger got really good at signing like Vlad did 3 years ago. But compare yours to the most recent Vlad releases. You will notice even more how off these are. |
I don’t love the Soto or Acuna autos either.
Why the secret on where you got them? Creative sports marketing has done Soto signings before. For minimal $, you can have a bgs sticker put on the back (normally) as well. Pretty cut and dry. Where did you get these all at the same time? |

When I compare them to authentic sold autos on Ebay they look very similar to me. |

The A and the entire Soto for me. Compared to known Ip autos I have and topps auto I have. But you could just say where you got these… |
This whole conversation is hilarious, just look at the autos and match them up to any of the newish Topps autos….they seem nearly dead on ?
I have seen Soto in a hotel room signing autos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Feast your eyes on the no way possible there could ever be signed cards from anyone other than…..Topps

no details. all really weird language from you. story would add up that you are doing the fakes yourself. they aren't real. |
Vladdy always starts his V at around a 30 degree angle and the mail in examples you’re showing start around 60-80 degrees. Plus everything else the other posters are saying. I personally wouldn’t feel confident that these are real unfortunately.

Sean, with all due respect, this doesn't sound logical. You're willing to concede that the Vlad autos look fake (they do, it's obvious with that underline) but still hold out hope on the Soto autos? I'm certainly not going to accuse you of anything but you have to know these are almost 100% uniformly forged, right? There's no scenario in which 2-3 of the 5 players autos were forged but the scammer went out of his/her way to get Juan Soto to actually sign his cards. Really sorry for your predicament though. |
no details. all really weird language from you. story would add up that you are doing the fakes yourself.
they aren't real.
Then people should stop giving him pointers on how to do better. |
Sean,
If you’ve been duped, just own it. You shouldn’t hide a source that is this suspect. You wouldn’t be the first, and you will not be the last. Sorry this happened to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
How would one person be able to forge so many players signatures so well? Can you tell me how you know the Soto signatures are fake? If they are fake I wasted a ton of money and ruined all my PC cards. That would be horrific. I was assured by the source they are all authentic. I would like to keep my source private at this time until I send the cards for authentication. I was suppose to send more in, but maybe I will wait.
No one, literally no one, is trying to get in on your source and take these “amazing deals” away from you. Keeping the name/company is, how the kids say, sus. |
The Soto autos are not authentic. Two tells. The cross on the ‘A’ and the slight forward tilt of the ‘U’. Not consistent with any examples of his autos.
|
And the biggest tell is the underline. Vlad never lifts his pen causing a break.
This is exactly what I noticed. The corner (or sometimes the bend) is always contiguous in that spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
The biggest tell on the Soto autos: The “S” in Soto, which has famously morphed over time, looks like a delta symbol or Jesus Fish on the mail-ins. Juanny doesn’t sign like that. It usually looks like an “L” or tilted “V” with a point—and no loop—as scene in the second picture. Sometimes he does a baby delta sign, as seen in third picture, but I’ve never seen one nearly as pronounced as what’s on the mail-ins.

The Vlady’s are the ones that concern me most. The lines jitter a bit, and the pen stays too consistent, it looks like an auto pen (even though it’s not). There’s a lot of well known forgers out there and we may be able to help this guy, and others, avoid these fakes… but for some reason we’re protecting this “source”. So, whatever. Don’t buy IP autos off of eBay, folks.

I have bought A LOT of IP autos off ebay, you just need to learn what to look for and what not too. I takes a lot of time and practice to know what to look for and what to avoid but ebay can be great (Though I will say I avoid big name current players) |
Thanks these photos are better. Are these all mail in? Soto and Vlad are not authentic signatures. I don’t collect wander or Julio so I’m not able to say without comparing but I would have my doubts. Can you share the company or info that details the private signing? Location where you sent cards? Anything would be helpful.
Edit acuna and tatis too… not real I’m sorry. To be clear… there was a private mail in signing where the 5 biggest stars in baseball were chilling together? Or if not together chilling with the same company that helped facilitate these autographs? Did you mail them in at the same time?
He has also posted in the past, JRod and Wander IP cards that were allegedly bought off ebay, asking if they looked real, AFTER he purchased them. None of the purchases could be found on 130 point and he couldn't provide any listings of the cards. It seems strange at best..... |
This is my favorite Soto fake auto that I own….
