I dig events when the awards are good. The only decent award before the current event was the first with Miggy. I have skipped all the ones since.

The current event is pretty easy, as it seems to be a ton of noobs playing, at least so far. My #1 tip would be to stack your bullpen with top golds and silvers and just run (start) your pitchers out of there mostly. RPs seem to spend about the same amount of energy as starters in events, and they recovery fully after one off-day. On top of that RPs with the same overall rating as a SP usually always have better H/9 and K/9 and they usually have better stuff too.

Yep on the 4th inning afaik. 99 Wander to be a choice. I predict he's going to be this years Larry as far as staying power

L on this headliner. Can't all be winners though. Past few have had some great ones. Rolling with SS Carlos Santana for a bit. His swing is money and they juiced his defense HUGE. He sucks at C irl but blocks everything in-game and throws out 90%+ of attempted steals for me.

Also would have gone for Rizz but did the AL the other day and rolling with Papi, even though he's a guy I don't really hit well with in-game but just gotta stick with him lol

Have completely lost the ball over the past day or so, but my pitching carried me, along with probably only facing 5 really solid opponents in the entire run

I thought Mathewson was a L as well but if you look at his control, it’s 99 control for 2 pitches, a 97, 94 and 92. Just insane control. He’s someone that with these stats, if you’re good with pinpoint he’s a pinpoint goon. Basically you’ll be able to paint every corner with his stuff

Haven't been playing very much lately, just enough to get the inning bosses and monthly players from the daily missions. Only big live series guy I've pulled from a pack was Acuna, but I just bought Cole yesterday so the only guy left for me to get is Trout. Sitting at only 30,000 stubs, so now starting the saving up until I can grab him!

I know most people hate it, but if you can stomach the US conquest...considering you get all 5 prospects in every pack now and can sell...that's roughly 70k+ stubs every time you finish..

Yeah I consider myself more of an offline grinder for the first half of the season before I really start playing online modes since I'm a NMS player and like to build up my roster. I've already completed the US map 2x, and the last time I completed it the final stronghold that I took gave me the pack with all 5 prospects, which was a nice surprise since I had no idea they had made that change.

Up to 17 wins in the current event, plan is to grind for 30 wins to get Jasson and Space 1 and 2.

Prices dropping on the big LS guns is nice. Sitting around 100K, need to snag either DeGrom or Acuna before this pack sale is over and their prices creep back up.

Team affinity stage 3 coming July 12th. Will be all star based, every team gets an all star card. Probably in the 96-98 range depending on the player and team

Gonna be some monsters there.

I will still have my work cut out for me on the Awards and Sig series, but should be in a better position than I was.


Not sure when that collection will drop but wouldn't be surprised if the reward is something like 99 Aaron or 99 Clemente. If something like that, wouldn't be surprised to see the market explode for things like Gold Veterans

I think we will see another high quality but not monster 99 guy for the L&F collection in mid to late July and then a MONSTER 99 in late august/early September

If you look at the live series collection on the main collections screen, you have Ortiz and Soriano on the bottom and chipper on the top. I think it’ll be the same thing here. Collect Mo and next player to get player C

Grinded the event this weekend and finished it. Man, I didn't realize how much I hated Polo Grounds until this event. Got to WS last night. Thought I was a few games away at 865 but I matched up with a guy rated 960something. Put up 4 off Degrom in the top of the first and he just quit, so I was able to use Edward the next game at only 12 points away. Got him out 1-2-3 in the 1st and hit a homerun with Trout in the bottom of the first and he disconnected before it landed. Took me a total of 1 and a half innings to get to WS from 865 lol I couldn't believe it. That brings my record to 51-2 on the year, but I've only played a handful of games on Legend (both losses on HOF).

Like Longhorn posted above, I have bought all of the cheaper diamonds for the big program, but I have went all the way up to 25k pricepoint. Everytime I get a nice pull or 12 wins in BR I just go buy players for the collection because if I don't I will just blow the stubs on packs.

Also knocked out all of the Topps Now moments last night. Hoping for a nice POTM card today!

As good as a Lightning Olson would be, 1B is already stacked at this point, and it was simply unreal how hot Schwarber was in June. So, for me at least no Lightning Schwarber = huge L. Fingers crossed

If you’re looking for good exchange fodder for TA3, you can get McNeil for 1075-1100 for buy orders and they’re going through quickly. He’s currently a 84, hopefully the roster update doesn’t hurt him too much.

Really any currently injured player is a good move in general

The new consoles dont lend themselves to travel, thats for sure. I like the form factor of the Series X (monolith-like) but it's basically desktop PC size

Glasnow and Reynolds both raked in their moments and CPU game for me. Reynolds actually batting 1.000 for me over 7 ABs. 3 doubles and 4 singles. May try him out in events but I like more power for my main squad

Hadnt seen that Fielder. Was a big fan back in the day (Rangers homer). Excited for that one. Have a 1.250 OPS with his 92 from using it in BR (very small sample)

Not a fan of Correa irl (again, Rangers homer), but have him in my main squad now. I think my dislike for him translates into better hitting somehow, as I always rake with his cards lol

Went ahead and finished the Jackie collection. I'm not sold on him as end game, but pumped even though he's pretty much a common card at this point

Seems like cards have jumped in price nearly across the board (except for a few examples where there has been a flood of supply, like the 42 series).

Maybe people prepping for a potential big collection. Maybe a side effect of subs being on sale currently. I spent some coin on stubs to start the year but they are so easy to make just by playing the game at this point, they would probably have to be discounted by 80-90% in order to entice me

I'm 18 points from completing this season of the BR program. That is a good stub producer throughout as long as you are getting more than a couple of wins per entry, but it gets really productive toward the end though. Last 20 points gives 10 BIAH packs (which I estimate worth 30k total on avg), then you get the bonus card (Matt Harvey this season (currently selling for 41k), 3k stubs, and finally the choice pack with the big reward of course (looks like currently Story is still selling for the most at 179k)

Was very tempted to sell all the Topps now cards to snag one of DeGrom or Acuna for the LS collection but that Schwarber is just too juiced to miss out on.

Mainly hoping I can keep grinding this program and get the 90+ pack to give me the LS collection boost I need.

With today’s Billy Williams as a moments/milestone card and the 42 cards being pretty cheap now (4 away from Jackie), I’ll be unlocking 99 Mo soon which will be a good add to the bullpen

The Mo is a super fun card to play with. I killed with his SS last year but his cutter hasn't seemed quite as precise this year for me. In on the fists to lefties and away to righties, it still kills. But backdoor I can't locate at all with analog.

Maybe I'll switch to pinpoint at some poting, but I have been having growing pains overall since playing the game so much on PS4 and then switching to the xbox controller. Did just get an xbox elite series 2 controller yesterday, so hoping I can get something good going with that

I will say I've spent hours pitching with PP, and I'm much worse with it than analog still haha

I told myself I wouldn’t switch to pinpoint, then when TA2 released I used it for all three Conquests to practice. Once you get the hang of it, it’s miles ahead of the others. I had some stick drift so I went back to analog for a week or so (PS4 controller shortage in my area apparently) and it’s so bad compared to pinpoint. I wouldn’t even play online with it.

That being said, Mo is very hard to locate with for me this year. He leaves inside cutters over the plate all the time even with good input. His pitches break a lot so it’s not a problem unless you are playing someone really good, but it’s kind of annoying. I feel like last years Mo was better.

I’m ready for the next collection to come out :)

Little disappointed with most the TA3 cards stats honestly, least for hitters.

Olson about as expected, Mullins and Turner are good. But sneaky surprised that Castellanos is juiced!

Seems like 15 is ta packs, 5 biah packs and space pack cards are about to taaaank lol

6 s1, s2, s3 for finishing every division+ packs in daily missions+packs in inning 4

The new Ohtani got leaked, there’s gonna be a 99 SP Ohtani with insane hitting stats as a potential collection reward. Not sure how to acquire yet

Olson is my new 1B for good, probably my favorite swing in the game.

Cruz is an insane bench bat

Albies is my new 2B I think, not sure between him or POTM Semien

By the way make sure you’ve got 1 of every base set guy for these space packs before selling them. You’ll need them for the next legends and flashbacks collection

Live content coming tonight after the derby, hope we get a pack with all 8 of these guys but odds are it’ll just be 4 semi finalists

Mancini 125 power both sides with OF eligibility is gonna get some cracks in my lineup if his power ends up being there

With how easy TA stage 3 is, don’t be surprised if there’s TA stage 4 of legends and such in mid August roughly. And then stage 5 being Finest players in late September

They announced the all star game collection. Collect 46 All star 2021 cards/HR Derby cards and get the 99 Ohtani. Also included in these collections is a 97 Sandberg Derby card and the 99 Fielder Derby card

I know they were HR derby cards, so emphasis on hitting, but damn are any actual playable cards outside of bench bats? Most are either Bronze or worse, common defense :eek:

I mean Alonso and Mancini being 1B helps considerably, you really don’t need much for defense at 1B

Mid round:

I’d say maybe Peralta as the high round but people would not be excited for that. And we already got a juiced Realmuto so Machado might get the high round

You can skip 2, the throwback Pederson HR derby counts as well
