Kings should continue to rebuild through the draft and let the young players get minutes. Please do not sign Lavine. Guy is always hurt.

He was hurt once

I literally started a little PC of Lavine a few weeks ago and how weird would it be if he ends up on my kings. Oh no, Vlade and I think alike! Jk Vlade is my bro. From a hobby standpoint I'd much rather have Lavine stay in Chicago for obvious reasons.

Here are some of my pick ups from the last couple of weeks.

Lonzo has a torn meniscus, should slightly ding his value

That sucks I had to get cleaned up because of that last year. Only the past couple months am I running pain free. Although I am quite a bit older lol

David Robinson was 100% right about Kawhi. Full of excuses.

Apparently Tony saying his own injury was "worse" and that was the last straw.

What were the other straws then?
The dude checked out on his team when he could have played. Disgraceful. Of course teammates are gonna be pissed if you dog it.

I hope we get Ingram. I think SA wait until LeBron goes elsewhere and then they won't worry about Kawhi in LA so much.

I think Lebron will wait it out first, I don’t see him signing before he sees what happens with Kawhi, or anyone else big signing.

By all accounts Lebron makes well informed decisions, and I don’t see him jumping the gun early.

I agree LeBron will wait, but he has a deadline.
The Spurs don't. They have Kawhi for the season ahead. They can wait until game 1 of the season. LeBron can't.

Agreed. I just think at this point from everything I’ve seen and read (could be wrong) that SA wants to move on.

It’s pretty clear the Spurs will get pennies on the dollar if they deal him anywhere but LA. Ainge is too smart to deal anything remotely valuable for Kawhi, Philly is reportedly talking Saric and maybe a pick or two, and I read that Denver called to offer something (not sure what).

San Antonio would do well to get Ingram, Hart, another player, and 2 1sts.

Similar situation happened with Kyrie last year and we watched the Cavs get essentially nothing but the 8th pick in the draft.

Just my $0.02 and I love these debates lol.

I think if SA got Ingram and Hart we'd gladly take that. As long as LeBron is elsewhere.
LA may still do it because they want their star.

Far out it's all very frustrating right now.

Sucks when your star holds the team hostage and kills his trade value by doing so.

This is how us Cavs fans felt last year with Kyrie.

Oh it’s sucks for SA, you have a top 5 player who is one of, it not the best two way player in the league telling you he won’t come back because some of his team mates hurt his feelings, and he has been getting advice from “people in his camp”

SA will never go full rebuild because let’s face it, with Pop as coach they will always be a threat in the West.

On the other hand, it appears the GSW are here to stay, and the best trade partner you get is in your conference, and will likely be better than you in the near term because of the trade you potentially make.

SA could ship Kawhi east for you the year, but do they really think a team without him would challenge the GSW without him?
Where on earth will Cousins sign ? People forgetting about him he’s a huge pickup if he stays healthy

Dallas seems willing to overpay
Such a conundrum. ...I would be much happier with Dallas signing Cousins than DeAndre Jordan but neither is an ideal building block, at least in terms of winning basketball games. Cousins is a ball dominant cry baby coming off a torn achilles who won’t be back until January at the earliest and Jordan needs an elite pg to even contribute minimally offensively and we all know what went down in July 2015.... such a spineless douche. But Cuban seems hell bent on ending his major FA drought and contending for the playoffs this year, and I really don’t think that will happen with either of these guys.

Seems too convenient this comes up around trade time lol maybe this is so the Lakers don't even have to consider trading him?

The only Lonzo rumors I saw were him to Cleveland when there was a sign and trade deal, now that Lebron opted out he may be there for the long haul.

If I'm SA I want Ingram or Kuzma...could you imagine Pop and Lavar Ball meeting?

Denver can be a sleeping trading partner. They have the young players, contracts and future picks to make a Kawhi trade work.

Yeah but kawhi this offseason only has value to like 2 or 3 teams unless he’s willing to sign a extension. If he’s a one year rental then who is giving up legit assets to think they can beat the warriors? Maybe Celtics, sixers or rockets? And even then they are not gutting their team for him. They’re looking to add him to a already championship ready squad. So other than that maybe a team that can potentially add lebron and kwahi is giving up assets cause that’s a huge jump.

Plus let’s say kawhi walks if you play hardball and keep him for year? You have Dejonte Murray patty mills and Aldridge to build around? Recognize the ship is sinking. Get what you can and move on.

Pathora 06-29-2018 11:57 PM

If the Spurs really hate Kawhi they will wait until LeBron signs to do anything. The Pacers didn't make the Paul George trade until a few hours before free agency started last year, I kind of expect a similar timeline for the Spurs unless they're in full rebuild mode and don't care about signing people.

If the LAL offer Ingram, Kuzma, Hart & two first rounders then somebody needs to be fired ... way too much for a guy that wants to come to your franchise

I know the SAS don't want to help out the Lakers but im sure the LAL don't want to help the Spurs either ... KL has already basically burned the bridge there ... if they choose not to move him I could easily see him having another "injury" this year

I just don’t see LAL offering Kuzma. Hart doesn’t add much to the deal honestly, he’s super overrated defensively (ranks in the bottom 4th of the league in nearly every single defensive statistic that Synergy has) and Ingram + a 1st won’t get it done.

No reason for LA to overpay this season for Kawhi when he wants to come there anyways. I’d be surprised if we saw a Kawhi trade to LA for anything more than Ingram and picks

I'd be surprised if we saw a Kawhi trade at all.

Lebron will make his decision prior to any potential Kawhi trade in all likelihood.

I think LA is calculating the risk of not trading for him, similar to with Paul George last year.

Say Kawhi gets traded to Boston for arguments sake, and they win a title. I think Boston would have a decent chance of keeping him, similar to the Paul George situation and how he probably would’ve stayed in OKC if they would have went deeper into the playoffs.

It’s not a forgone conclusion that Kawhi would go to LA, especially if he was traded and found success elsewhere.

I'd say Kawhi to LA is almost a certainty no matter where he is traded and no matter if said team wins a title or not. There were always rumblings about PG13 wanting to be a Laker, but never anything as concrete as we've heard come out of the Kawhi gossip mill.

JMarchand1981 06-30-2018 12:57 PM

I'm going to vomit if the Celtics put up one of either brown or Tatum for one year of Kawhi. I'd rather keep the kids. Now rozier is a different story but rozier and picks doesn't get it done.

packman80 06-30-2018 12:57 PM

Is anyone else wanting to see if Leonard, James, George all go to LA to see them not get along after a season in-fighting start and the team tears itself apart from the inside?
